Weak minded is believing a billion plus commercial enterprise (the Big Ten) would not "rig" its games to pursue the most lucrative result; and, in a world where priests **** five years olds, the business model would not find willing executants. That's like saying you still believe in Santa Claus.
What are the quotation marks for? It's either rigged or it isn't.
How is OSU winning the most lucrative result? The league already has its tv network. It's not like the Buckeyes are some powerhouse basketball brand that the Big Ten is trying to protect and shove down our throats. They are ranked 25th. They haven't won a conference title since 2012. Has the conference just not been very good at rigging the past ten years? If they wanted OSU to win that badly, why was it ever a one possession game at the end?
Wouldn't Rutgers winning have been in the best interest of the league, as it would have given them a better chance of also making the Dance, assuming OSU gets in?
Illinois is arguably a better basketball brand than OSU. Why did the league let PSU handle them with ease?
MSU certainly is a better basketball brand than OSU. Why on earth did the league let NW knock them off?
Why did the league let Iowa win the tournament last year? Supposedly they've been out to get the Hawks for decades now.
The Big Ten just isn't very good at rigging its games.
College basketball is a huge industry. You got that right. Do you think they would want to risk tarnishing the integrity of their product by giving games to teams like OSU? Investigations have occurred before.
Just because it's a huge industry doesn't mean it has to be "protected" by the the means you've suggested. Hoops sustains itself just fine.
You are making a huge leap with no real information to support it. And you can make your point, wrong as it may be, without the disgusting imagery. Nobody wants to hear that
