Eric was a phenomenal athlete. Came into his own during his senior year. Was a underrated defender that year too. Would have been a very good football player if he’d went that rout.Decent athlete,.. at a time when we didn't have a lot to crow about.
Correct. Well I guess technically Aaron White and Roy Dev led the team but your point remainsHe comes from a very athletic family - both parents were very good HS athletes. Really great family. He represented Iowa well. Led Iowa to the NIT finals, didn't he? I think Iowa lost to a really good Baylor team in the finals that year.

That Baylor team was crazy athletic. That little point guard they had was awesome
Does anyone remember why he didn't pay football?Eric was a phenomenal athlete. Came into his own during his senior year. Was a underrated defender that year too. Would have been a very good football player if he’d went that rout.
He was the only senior on that team, the lone remaining player from the Lickliter years. I wish that he'd had all 4 years with McC.Correct. Well I guess technically Aaron White and Roy Dev led the team but your point remains

Pre-NIL. Football didn't pay anything back then.Does anyone remember why he didn't pay football?
I can still see it. INCREDIBLE SHOT!Remember when he made the game winning shot in the state tournament for Wahlert? That was amazing.
Out of bounds!
All of those Harlan players just turn and watch it swish through, the absolute worst way to lose. Eric May was an unstoppable force that senior season at Wahlert.
