It was pretty well understood that WI loss to Rutgers was an anomaly given Kaminsky being out all game and Jackson going down during that game and the team hadn't adjusted.

Completely different situation.
That was one brain fart with their best player out for the game. Wisky obviously had high level talent.
Iowa is a team trending down with a tiny margin for error relative to B1G title hopes.
If Iowa were a stock, their price would be plummeting.

Hopefully Fran gives this team a little rest. Hopefully this team can get refocused. We've seen this team play with good energy most of the year.

I'm still worried though. Teams aren't even guarding Gessell. Clemmons is getting sagged off of too. Uthoff was triple teamed and double teamed most of the game tonight. I would bet we where minus tonight with Gessell and Clemmons playing together. Fran is probably going to have to make some adjustments on offense. Defensively I'm lessed worried. The effort in the zone has been awful. Why Fran doesn't think he can play man to man for 40 minutes is beyond me. I'm hoping the effort on D increases with the rest and if it doesn't this team is in serious trouble.

I'm not even angry. Kinda felt this coming the past few weeks. What's important is they get themselves right again for the stretch run.

Look on the bright side. Last time PSU beat a top 5 team at home they were 0-14 in the BigTen and beat Michigan....who then went on to make the Final Four and play in the championship game.
