Republican debate

You only care about YOUR liberties. I care about all liberties.
Why don't you start a new thread and lay out your case. I suspect I've already answered your charges numerous times, but if you feel compelled to spout off, let's at least confine it to a discussion of its own rather than violating the rights of others by derailing this thread.

Actually, you're the one who brought this up, therefore YOU ARE the one who is derailing the thread.

Unless the GOP has a work-around, I think it's still a requirement that P and VP be from different states. Maybe Jeb has homes in other states so he can pretend to be from Texas or Maine or something.

Bush didn't look lost tonight and spoke well enough. That's an improvement. As the presumptive heir, that's good enough for now. Eventually, he'll have to do better.

When I say I thought it would come down to Rubio and Bush, I mean as the last two candidates competing for the nomination. I agree, a party cannot have two people from the same state on the ticket.

No the tax code is just fine at 73,000 pages. Dems think it needs to be longer.
You don't know how our government works if you think the cumbersome tax code is the product of Democrats alone. I'll clue you in. Good 'Ol Chuck Grassley moved to Washington DC 40 years ago and he's been carving out special exemptions and complicating the tax code ever since. And, he hasn't been doing that with you and me in mind. He does it for people that pay him to with contributions and support.

The huckster sounded liberal on a number of issues. Maybe he is that elusive fiscal liberal, social conservative.
Or bat crap crazy.
He isn't quitting, he's just not running for re-election. Liar.

Which would be quitting.

Rand Paul is a good guy, with good intentions. But, he has no political charisma for an office like the President. he also lacks his father's resolve, convictions and courage to actually address what is really affecting the country and the world. His father had such a huge following because he wasn't a consummate politician.

Politicians are sell-outs.

These people are so blatantly bought-off. Just one shuck-and-jive after another. I lasted about 1/3 of the way through.

How long did you last in the Democratic Debate when they were shucking and jiving?

Rubio proves he sucks at math worse than I do. It wasn't 5% of a million and 5% of a thousand. It was 27% of a million and 15% of a thousand. The cute boy is not ready for the adult table.
Obama falls into that category too since we have 57 states or something like that....

I disagree compleatly. They should be a way to reward beneficial behavior. It's how you make sure we go green, hire vets and special needs, and keep our position as innovation leaders. As you told me, equality is a myth.

"Equitable" is not the same thing as "Equal". You fail.

I watched some of the debate and thought Rubio had some moments. Bush flopped as did Carson. Kasich is probably the only legit candidate and can't get time on the air as they focus on guys like Trump and Carson. That has to be frustrating. The field needs to be cut to about 4-5.

No....Petraeus was treated appropriately for his mishandling of Classified material. Hillary deserves the same treatment for doing exactly the same as Petraeus, but she gets a pass? Why?

It needs to be proven first, Hawk. Other than some random political foes saying she broke the law....there is no "proof" she has. Patreus was proven guilty....Hillary will have her day in Court also.

If she has her day in court, she won't be in the Oval Office, because that would mean she had been charged with something. Unless the FBI or DOJ drag their feet long enough.

However, most people don't say "Female" Police officer to use it as a slam against someone for their chosen profession.
People use "male nurse" to suggest that somehow they are less of a man for doing that as a profession.

My company runs a bunch of nursing homes. We don't say "male nurse" as a pejorative. In fact, we pay the male nurses more than the females, because they're better.

(just kidding with that last statement)

I would think that certain areas in nursing are way more "manly" than a lot of other professions.

I agree. I come from a family of medical professionals...... Nursing is a tough, physical job. And more times than you can imagine, it's nurses that save patients from Doctor's mistakes. The amount of knowledge they hold for nearly every situation is amazing.
To disparage a Man for doing this job, because you can't get the image of a candy striper out of your head is idiotic.
