Gaetz just noted on CNN that he's a 12 year lawmaker, but can't point to any accomplishments like his supposed war on debt.

Gaetz is a son of a political family in a district full of retired lower level military types who drive around with hats on that tell the world they’re retired military and tee shirts that have various slogans on them. They are from all over the country. He spouts what they want to hear, just like Trump does. As long as he reinforces their fairly simpleton world views he’s going to win. Plus the Democrats can’t find reasonable alternatives to run against him, but they have that problem statewide.
DeSantis is a Florida native from a blue collar family who earned his way into Yale and Harvard. He’s been consistent in his positions and apparently Floridians from the Panhandle to the Keys approve because he crushed his opponent.

Let him know when he’s actually wrong about Republican leaders. I see next to nothing from them that says otherwise. Nothing they do benefits everyday Americans.
To be fair, most know Trump and MAGA are terrible but they’re too cowardly to stand up to them the vast majority of the time. I really liked Nikki Haley in 2016, and then she gave up her beliefs and bent the knee to MAGA. Because selfish.

Just because I’m ignorant about Florida politics doesn’t mean I can’t recognize a horrible human like DeSantis. Not to mention he said he wants to eliminate the way people like me think…doesn’t seem much like freedom. Or American.
What's going on with this sudden burst of attempting to be adults by Republicans? Have they gotten the memo that the bulk of the country is tired of their shit?
