Republicans impeach Mayorkas

I mean, if I’m the Senate Democrats - who will ultimately determine the rules in the senate trial; I’m for using, dare I say “liberal” trial rules and let Greene and co make fools of themselves….right?
I would give MTG full reign. There is no doubt she will make a fool of herself and MAGAts in general.

That's what almost everyone on this board is saying. We need to reform immigration. There was recently a bill that was turned down by the Republicans that would have made some great steps forward but Trump didn't like it. You are countering your own arguments.
There was a House Bill passed last May that would have made great steps forward, but was turned down by Schumer.

Oh, the Senate bill gave 4 times the money for Ukraine than for our own border. It also gave Biden the power to suspend all the great triggers, and limited the number of days those triggers could be used, and set the threshold for those triggers at 1.5 million encounters per year.

Will you stop with that crap? That wasn’t a serious bill, nor was it meant as a starting point and you know it. That was an immigration wish list for republicans that offered nothing to Dems that they would have wanted.

The Senate bill was the best possible compromise bill you were going to get. You’re also conveniently leaving out a lot of nuance regarding the bill.

I also love that you’re singing Schumer for rejecting a republican only bill but giving a pass to republicans for rejecting a bipartisan proposal.

You have become a joke.

Specifically, what law or laws has he just flat out refused to enforce?

How about we start with the manner in which the Biden administration chooses to accept asylum applications on the spot from anyone capable of setting foot on US soil,.. Prior administrations have required applicants to apply from their country of origin, or by physically visiting an official US port of entry...

Under both U.S. and international law, people who face danger in their homelands have the right to go to other nations to seek safety and to have their requests for asylum considered. To apply for asylum In the United States, a person must be physically present either in the country or at a port of entry.Oct 10, 2023

As I said, past administrations have required new arrivals to apply at a port of entry,.. Biden could do this as well, but he chooses not to..

Again, this just means he’s not enforcing the existing law the way you think he should.

What law is he just refusing outright to enforce or actively breaking?

The interim rule change was challenged in O.A. v. Trump. The district court judge found in favor of the plaintiffs that the rule was inconsistent with the statute.
