RFK Jr wants to end the development of new cancer treatments, alzheimers and more

The beat part of this whole thing is the jackasses telling the govt to stay out of climate change and let the “free market” take care of it are applauding a whacked out conspiracy theorist forcing companies to do what the govt says when it comes to additives.

The Froot Loops Americans buy literally have all the ingredients listed right on the box.
But the Froot Loops on Twitter have decided that is a Giant Conspiracy...

The polio vaccine was unveiled in controversy and they’re still f***ing it up to this day.

On Aug. 30, 1954, Bernice E. Eddy, a veteran scientist at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Md., was checking a batch of a new polio vaccine for safety.

As she checked a sample from Cutter Laboratories in Berkeley, Calif., she noticed that the vaccine designed to protect against the disease had instead given polio to a test monkey. Rather than containing killed virus to create immunity, the sample from Cutter contained live, infectious virus.

Something was wrong. “There’s going to be a disaster,” she told a friend.

Despite Eddy’s warnings, an estimated 120,000 children that year were injected with the Cutter vaccine, according to Paul A. Offit, director of the Vaccine Education Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Roughly 40,000 got “abortive” polio, with fever, sore throat, headache, vomiting and muscle pain. Fifty-one were paralyzed, and five died, Offit wrote in his 2005 book,
“The Cutter Incident: How America’s First Polio Vaccine Led to the Growing Vaccine Crisis.”

‘Unqualified failure’ in polio vaccine policy left thousands of kids paralyzed

Well-intentioned decision to switch oral polio vaccines in 2016 backfired, new draft report says.

But “the switch,” as this global move has become known, became “an unqualified failure,” according to an unusually blunt draft report commissioned by the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI) that is now open for public comments. Unexpectedly, vaccine-derived poliovirus type 2 has continued to circulate after the switch, paralyzing more than 3300 children. And GPEI has spent more than $1.8 billion trying to quash these outbreaks, mostly in Africa. Those numbers are certain to increase until the polio program finds a way to deal with the problem it inadvertently—and with the best of intentions—created.

Yes and during that time polio did the following, "In the 1940s and 1950s, polio killed nearly half a million people worldwide each year and left many more paralyzed. One in 200 infections led to irreversible paralysis, and 5 to 10 percent of those paralyzed died."

I wonder what FDR would have thought about "polio vaccines"....
🙄

RFK is also talking about vaccines, stopping medical research, removing fluoride, basically going back herbal medicine. If he wants to go live with the Amish be my guest, doesn’t mean he gets to mess with the medical field of this country. We can really discuss all the rabbit holes he has gone down. Also keeping a diary of all his mistresses 43, his wife found his diary and committed suicide. He has likely juiced, which has caused the issue with his voice. If you really think he his qualified please list his accomplishments.
lol…you really think steroids have caused that “issue” with his voice?!?

It's fear mongering at this point. There is close to a 0% chance that RFK Jr. gets confirmed with this anti-science and pharmaceutical development position - I have no interest in doing the research, but I'm confident that the people needed to confirm him are likely well-supported by the pharmaceutical lobby.
I think RFK has a much better chance of getting confirmed than you think.

Because they have made SO MANY meaningful cancer treatment advances. C'mon people get real. These people are not going to cure cancer. Follow the money.
The ideal scenario for these people is to have all Americans live unhealthily for about 75-80 years. And you gotta give them credit, they’ve devised a pretty good good system.

So your solution is to remove the medicines, remove the research, go herbal and let natural selection take its course. We will definitely become healthier in due course LOL. Pretty painful though.

What you failed to include…he also added that his plan is to focus on various chronic deceases in that same 8 year timeframe.
Just curious, how is he coming up with 8 years, even if nominated and put through (still slim), at most he gets 4 years.

My solution is to remove the conflicts of interest from research (i.e. revolving door), remove any/all vaccine mandates, remove legal immunity for pharmaceutical companies, require FULL disclosure/consent documentation, expand V-Safe program, etc.

If you want to inject the hell out of your kids and risk your own life by using Ozempic knock yourself out. But don’t pretend the system is based on ANYTHING but greed, corruption and cover ups.

Glad you aren't any part of the decision making. You are so far down the rabbit whole. In either case, I have to deal with my own issues of being overweight. Body definitely giving me signs that I have to get this fixed. Easier said than done, doing in with pure exercise and eating healthy. My willpower on food always gets in the way. If I have to take medication to get some of the weight off so be it, otherwise will be on medication sooner or later anyways.

To the RFK haters in this thread, how do you feel about his position on Big Pharma?

For my part, I want to see what he actually intends to do rather than jump on some X bandwagon, whether or not there's a some prior basis. Yes, RFK has made some wild statements, but he's also been misquoted quite a bit. I agree with him on some things, and absolutely disagree with him on others. I don't think he's a good pick for HHS, but I will be interested in his confirmation hearings.

I just did a little reading and it seems RFK said he wanted to pause funding for infectious disease and concentrate on chronic disease. That's a little different from the OP's post.

I know a lot of Dems didn't like him when he was running for POTUS as a Dem, and a few more are acting like jilted lovers since then.

Good luck, sincerely. Just remember that their profits will always come before your health.

43 mistresses and his wife committing suicide does it for me. Nothing else matters.

I think Big Pharma does incredible work and the people who do the actual R&D and the doctors they work with in the field care about patient outcomes.

The stuff I hate about Big Pharma aren’t things he’s in a position to address. Drug-pricing, the Sacklers of the industry, red tape for treatment of terminal diagnoses, those are things he either can’t control or doesn’t care about.

Without even looking at whatever Chis posted, why do I have a feeling the above is far from the truth.

Nothing would go "wrong". Things are as they are. What possibly goes wrong is when stuff is given to people without understanding long term effects such as forcing kids to be vaccinated with something that was never fully tested.
We do understand the long term effects of vaccination. People are healthy and there is less of said disease

Just cause you choose to ignore science doesn't mean we dont understand the long term effect.

His plan is MASA. Make America sicker again.
Ridiculous. The US far outspends every country in the world on ‘healthcare’ while easily being the unhealthiest of all advanced nations in regard to infant/child mortality, disease rates, autoimmune disorders, etc.

In the end I don’t think he’d make a difference because the corporate interests are just too entrenched. But to say he’s less qualified than Becerra or the dude who thinks he’s a chick is pure partisan BS.

This flies in the face of the US being the most vaccinated, least healthy industrialized nation in the world.

Repeating Pharma talking points isn’t changing that fact.

So you’re saying the vaccines don’t work? Or that the things that make us not healthy aren’t the things that vaccines can prevent?

This is a case of "the dog that caught the car", except instead of not knowing what to do, the dog has kicked the driver out of his seat and is driving recklessly with his paws, barking and growling at everything, and running over cats bear cubs.

Those two things dont have a damn thing to do with each other hauss. Anyone with a bout a 5th grade level of science understands correlation and causation.

Vaccination aren't why we aren't healthy. It's cause we have more money, food, and robots to do our job than ever before. There is a reason why the richest are always the fattest throughout time.

Apparently the jabs that are given do nothing for the overall, collective health of the nation or we wouldn’t be in the condition we’re in.

Even if they soon come out with vaccines for Lupus, diabetes, obesity, etc., I imagine there will be tradeoffs involved. 🤷‍♂️

You sure about that?
