Does anyone know where Rico is these days?

He is still my favorite Hawk wrestler of all time.

Years back I saw him training UFC guys, but I've lost track of him.

Years back I saw him training UFC guys, but I've lost track of him.

He was my submission wrestling coach about 20 years ago, he continued training guys at his R-1 gym in El Segundo CA. I ran into him at Submission X tournament in the West LA area maybe 17 years ago. I believe he still runs R-1, it’s moved to Inglewood. Super cool, mellow, easy going dude

Lucky you. I only got to meet him every summer when I went to Gable's intensive camps.

You are right, he was super mellow. He was so funky with his wrestling style. Just when you thought he was in trouble he'd score a bunch of points.

Well I wish him all the luck. Awesome dude.
