Riley's house egged over the weekend?

People take this game way too F'ing seriously, I'm a pretty big fan of Iowa and I want them to win, but when they lose I know the players and coaches did their best. It is perfectly fine to be disappointed or criticize, but crap like that is inexcusable.

" The Hawkeyes scored 14 points on a total of seven third quarter plays"

" The Hawkeyes had 153 rushing yards, while Nebraska had 137, which is pretty close. But Iowa also had two long touchdown runs, while the Husker's longest run was 12 yards".

Those 2 statements aren't helping his case any.

This guy is just a sore loser.

Read the article. How the author thinks that wasn't targeting is beyond me. Fine, he says it was incidental, know how to avoid it altogether? Don't lead with your head by launching yourself head first. Maybe they should all take the heads up tackling class, if done right you don't lead with your head. I don't understand why players want to lead with their head like that just for a big hit as they are putting themselves at risk of breaking their neck/back or having concussions just as much as the person they are hitting.

Wow, Adam - I'm sure the Hawks are shaking in their boots over playing the little fuskers in Kinnick next year.

He shows he is a major idiot by saying he is a Tommy Armstrong fan. His #1 should be "4 turnovers by Armstrong were the difference between a W & a L". Armstrong may be athletic but he is a terrible decision maker (on & off the field). Athletic football players who are terrible decision makers are nothing but headaches for NFL teams.

I don't give a rats ass about stats. Winners win, & Losers lose. You don't need a Ph.D. In statistics to make that correlation.

Word has it that Riley's house was egged over the weekend
Riley thinks it’s Armstrong because 4 of the 5 eggs hit the neighbors house instead…

Shoulda Coulda Woulda... If you don't like targeting calls tell your players to keep their head up.

Please don't bench TA he is Iowa's best player. ;)

Can't wait to see Nebraska in Kinnick next year. Can't stand ya so please don't suck, you will bring Iowa's top ten rating down.

Carriker's best point is discipline Iowa has it, Nebraska doesn't.

Go Hawks! 12-0

The article was fine. Neb certainly had a solid opportunity to win that game. The author, a Neb fan, was just looking at it from the Neb perspective.

Nothing to see here.

Not only a fan, the author is an ex-player and NFL'er

He also misses out on the fact that despite shaky QB play from Iowa, one of OUR starting defensive players also was taken out of the game, 2 weeks of preparation against Iowas 5 days, half the offensive plays, and with 0 3rd down conversions,..........Iowa still won. It takes a better team to win with that criteria.

The truth is that Nebraska lost this game because they suck. Period, end of story.

No doubt, there's a reason Iowa is 12-0 and Nebraska is 5-7. Iowa is a better team....simple as that.

Blackshirts?! Nebraska's defense was not that tough. Beathard's 3rd down conversion rate may have been poor but Nebraska's defense broke down and allowed Iowa to score TDs and little Nebby settled for FGs.

Next year, Nebraska's OL will be a work in progress but Iowa's OL will be even better and deeper. James Daniels and Sean Welsh will play the interior (hopefully with Boone Meyer as a guard) and Boettger and Croston at tackles with Render and the Paulsen boys backing up the tackles.

Iowa is hands down better at the LB and secondary positions than Nebby and Iowa could be one of the best units at LB with Niemann and Jewell if the guy who takes Fisher's spot can play the weak side spot and handle the play action passing game. Fisher was exploited a lot this season (Indy and Minny games). Iowa's Bo Bower is an insider backer and not as good as Niemann or Jewell but he gives depth. Nebby's LBs were weak tacklers. Nebby loses 3 DB starters while retaining Gerry who is not likely to go pro but could. Iowa's improvement at WR with speedsters like JermSmith, Falconer, Ogwo, Scheel and Parker. I will always wonder how much impact Derrick Willies could have made to this program with CJ being his QB.

Iowa needs to build depth and strength on the DL but its nice to see Iowa landing some 6'4"+ tall guys. No disrespect to Nate Meiers but Iowa needs more rangy athletes at the DE who can overpower the opponents OTs. Matt Nelson and Parker Heese are underweight for now but bring greater athleticism to this DL. I believe Iowa will continue to improve next year while Nebraska may win a couple of more games but not be top 15 competitor next year.

Iowa NEVER trailed in this game.

You would think an ex-player and NFL'er and all would factor that into his postgame analysis. Or maybe he hasn't seen Kirk Ferentz coach a Football Game. He's only been doing the exact same thing for 17 years playing with a lead, so it may be hard for some to notice..................................

Any Iowa fan who has watched this team play all year could see Iowa played a below average game on Friday. Yet, they still found a way to win. That's all you need to know about how gritty this Iowa team is.

I disagree a bit. Outside of the two big runs, Nebraska's D played very well and were tough.

I can't wait to come to Kinnick next year either. We're undefeated there. ;)

Yup, the road team has won 4 of the last 5.

One word, a favorite for the last year on the husker board. Now it is our turn...

SCOREBOARD!!
