RIP Billy Graham

Not my theological cup of tea but I have to respect that he figured out at mixing his religion with politics was a bad idea.

The scourage of modern America religion
I've never heard of a scourage. What's that?
I suspect you meant to say 'scourge'. How was BG the scourge of modern American religion?
On the contrary, I would estimate he probably led more people to Christ than anyone in history, mainly because he evangelized during the TV, radio, print and digital age.

If you think that's a bad thing, I'll pray for you.:D

Billy Graham was a dynamic evangelist who preached
the Good News of Jesus with heart-felt compassion.
He had a passion to reach those people who did not
know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. He knew
that his message was more important than himself as
the messenger...

I think Billy Graham was probably a great man overall.

Of course, like all of us, he had flaws. I expect our culture to point out his flaws and to trash him in their remembrances.

I respect what Billy Graham did in the earlier part of his career. He should have raised a better son and should have publicly reprimanded Franklin for his hateful rhetoric.

The wonderful legacy of Billy Graham is that he was
an Evangelist without scandal. Some TV Evangelists
have been involved in sexual or financial scandals.
For some of them it was about living a luxurious life
style with mansions, private jets, and all the perks.
Billy Graham never gave in to the temptation to get
wealthy and greedy as an evangelist.

Billy Graham was a great and righteous man. Unfortunately, his son is unable or unwilling to carry on his work in a righteous way, and this is putting it very nicely.

Franklin Graham was never blessed as a dynamic
speaker like his father. There will only be one Billy
Graham. His children have a tremendous challenge
to live up to his standards. To preach the Good
News of Jesus Christ is a calling not bestowed on
just anyone. Appreciate the ministry of Billy Graham
as a tremendous gift from God.

hey dems: quit dancing on the grave of billy graham, it's distracting us from the crisis actor narrative today!

I hear he might have been in it for the money?

Back in 1972 I flew to Tulsa to visit a friend (my friend had just been released from an Israeli prison were he served time for smuggling hashish). My friend and his buddy picked me up at the airport. When we got in the car we smoked some very good weed - way too much, I was wrecked. My friend announced we were going to Oral Roberts University for a nationally televised Billy Graham rally. I was freaking!

We got to the packed 10,000 plus seat arena and stole some third row center seats. I didn't want to sit there. The TV cameras and bright lights were overwhelming me. There I was stoned (totally screwed up) and going almost face to face with Billy Graham, Oral Roberts, and soon to be disgraced Oklahoma governor, David Hall. It was pure psychedelia. I think they told some Jesus/golf jokes - that's all I remember.

Graham seemed like a nice guy.

Funny that the topic was about Billy Graham But of course it got derailed to his son.
Everyone on this earth is a born sinner.
Billy chose what he thought was the right direction.
His son chose a different direction.
End of story

Just asking, but why do you choose to be a douche bag? You jump into a thread where there isn't a raging political debate and stir the pot up.
Just stop it.
