I know it's cool to hate the Eagles, but damn I loved them. Grew up listening to their albums on my brothers kick ass marantz turntable/tuner system.

Hotel California got many, many spins on that thing. Funny, I hated Frey's solo stuff (it for the most part did suck honestly) and always blamed him for the Eagles break up when I was young. Loved Henley, still do, but definitely know the stories of what a prick he can be. Together though....man, the music of a generation.

Does anyone remember the Iowa basketball commercials from the 80's that played Frey's "The Heat is On"?

I remember Frey being on Miami Vice and his song "Smuggler's Blues".

I always liked the Eagles. I wasn't a big fan, but I certainly like some of the songs. I like Joe Walsh. 'Turn to Stone' is a great song.
