I know he wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but the man was a legend:
He had some fantastic moments. Was great on roasts and when he did his blue stuff. It is very sad, Norm was one of my favorites ever and Gilbert was so fun as well.
And yet Dane Cook and Carlos Mencia are allowed to go on living. Life is truly unfair.
I wasn't a huge fan of his persona until I listened to a bunch of episodes of his podcast last year at the recommendation of a friend. He was quite likable and funny in that setting. He seemed like a good soul.

He always seemed like a comic that other comics appreciated more than general public. Kind of like Norm in that way. Sure normal people laughed at Gilbert's jokes, but comedians really laughed at his act
One of the funniest things I can remember on Howard Stern, other than the roasts, was when Gilbert and Artie went back and forth for about a half hour doing jokes in Ted Kennedy's voice
Sad. Still use the line here's 1 here's 2, they're real crisp.
For now. I think his nose is completely gone from snorting cocaine.
Amy Shumer will live forever following this trend.
He definetly toed the line more than most. I heard a recording of him the other day when he left a voicemail to the Stern show, was weird to hear him talking like a normal guy. Supposedly he got real pissed when it was leaked.
It’s wild that corporations were willing to hire him after his Stern appearances and his regular telling of the Aristocrats, but the Tsunami joke is what did him in.
