There were many. I liked Pete's overall testimony on Tuesday. The AG did a nice job yesterday. And today's treasury secretary is good as well.
Today is the least confrontational of the 3 days, which is good.

They might have weaknesses. It just didn't show when they were testifying. The D's Senators made a few mistakes when asking questions:
1. They weren't prepared. You could tell that an intern probably wrote their question, rather than the politicians.
2. They seemed angry and kept interrupting before the nominees before they could give their responses. Meanwhile, the nominees kept their cool.
3. They kept focusing on Trump, rather than the qualifications of the nominees.
Todays were ok. We know who the issues will be. Hegseth, Patel, Gabberd, RFK. None of those 4 candidates are rock solid by any means and all have major question marks. They may or may not get through. But there is no way we can consider them rock solid.

Thats just your perspective, I would say Dems have hit on a lot of points. Now whether republicans will push them through any way we will see. In either case the first 100 days of this administration is going to be very interesting. We will see if they attack free speech and free press, we will see how hard they go after immigration, we will see if RFK gets nominated what I tries to do in the health care area. I think Doge is dead on arrival, just more bloat. There is a possibility Trump goes haywire early. I am sitting back and waiting. If it goes ok great . . I don't have high hopes.

Over trump's term he added 7.7 trillion to the debt (which is absolutely unacceptable and my biggest criticism of Trump in general). However, 15 percent of that was kept in cash reserves for possible covid spending per treasury secretary Steve mnuchin going into biden's presidency. Biden spent that trillion dollars plus another 7 trillion on top of it. Factor in the 15% carryover and trump added 6.5 trillion to the debt while biden is over 7.9 trillion.

A secretary level position with 3 million personnel stationed all over the world should be able to answer basic geography questions. Especially when we have military basis located in ASEAN -- five in the Philippines alone.

Yesterday, the DoD nominee did absolutely nothing to show he was “qualified” to run the Oentagon but friended in Republican senators on the committee to deflect for him. Ms. Biondi was really disappointing. She was defensive towards all “hypotheticals” asked of her and in my mind, she left no doubt that as AG she will always act as Trump’s attorney first and foremost. However, both nominees will get in as they have the votes…both will be strictly party line votes.
