Rocky Jordan?

Who is in IC recruiting this kid and the two guys that are coming this weekend? Terry & Gman will be in Spain, M* will be at Fargo, Perry can't recruit. Guess that leaves just Tom. Would be nice to have Terry and our 57kg world team representative in the room when all these guys are there.
 
It's all Tom and current wrestlers...

...can sell it that it's even better when the room is full of who is suppose to be there

I would think Perry could talk to him cause they can all work with the HWC right.

That is an easy sell IMO with them gone. "Sorry you didn't get to meet with Terry and Thomas. They are in Spain working towards a world gold. In five years we will be saying the same thing about you to future Hawkeyes as well."

Well he's officially built more like a bull, than the bull. Rocky is on swoll patrol for sure. SPG is a solid pipeline recruiting wise. I'd love to see a Jordan in black and gold. He landed with a splash as a frost and then had some growing pains with a steady diet of top flight national competition. Rocky has a ton of upside and is a great get.

According to PSU guys, in their eternal quest to denigrate our recruits, Rocky is the Fredo of the bunch. I would like to see one Jordan at Iowa just to see what the staff could do with him.

Wasn't there one year (maybe 5 years ago or so), where the graduates of Graham would have placed something like 8th at the NCAA tournament?

All the jordans and some dude named David Taylor off top of my head. Not sure how they overlap though. Could be possible

Hopefully teach the kid to get out from bottom. Huge blind spot in an otherwise great HS program - David Taylor went off on that topic on the TRowe/Funky podcast.

And I coined the name "Fredo" for Rocky after watching The Godfather the night before and being a bit trollish after reading how bad "Bael" is here.

But it does beg the question why he's not being heavily pursued by Ohio State - 2-3 years ago he was way up on their list (at least among the fans)

Already a 2X champ, 3 X finalist working on his 3rd title, I'll take Fredo in a heartbeat. Who's Michael btw, Bo or Isaac?

Isaac's older bro Ben was an AA at Wisky too. Garret and Tanner are cousins I believe. Rocky can be a chip off the old block, but imo Bo and Micah were more driven to be the absolute best wrestler they could be more than Rocky.
 
It's understandable that a PSU fan would call Jordan "Fredo." Jordan was only ranked #10 in his weight class by FLO. #10 at a weight class doesn't get on Cael's radar screen.

Cael likes to grab #1's and then have fans marvel at how he "develops" them.

In the class of 2018, PSU has 6 recruits Every single guy is ranked #1 in their weight class except for the lowly #2 Nevills.

Yea...and in a normal year, he would be #1. Just happens to have the best HWY prospect since Mocco in his year.

I don't know about that. I think he's a phenomenal athlete but his ranking is low because he didn't wrestle in the Ironman this past year. He also doesn't wrestle in offseason tournaments. The dad believes there is more to life than spending every weekend at wrestling tournaments and thousands to travel the country.

He doesn't have strength issues like Micah, which contributes to his inability to get off of bottom, and I think will be a hammer in a future. Having the Bull is what really put us in the conversation.

Hopefully Bull can convinice him to be a Hawk. The "Bull" surely should have a great deal of influnece in this case.

In the big book of push ups, pretty sure Rocky has always been the leader. On a Flo vid video years ago I seem to remember JJ saying Rocky would be the strongest.
