I would be surprised if the legislature would pass bills that he wouldn’t support. Otherwise he runs the risk of having to veto something and look less woke.

If this gets to his desk he needs to immediately veto, no one should support this type of government oversight of speech, especially someone gearing up for a run at POTUS.

Typically members of the governor’s party do not file bills that cause problems for the governor or put them on the spot to have to answer for them. Especially in a legislature that’s been a rubber stamp for DeSantis and tightly coordinated with his office.

Like you and rocky said, doubtful this goes anywhere - and if it did, I have no idea how it could be constitutional…but there’s also no way a bill like this even gets proposed if there wasn’t tacit support behind the scenes from DeSantis.
