Sad but yes I rooted for Wisky tonite am I the only one tho who threw up in their mouth a little while doing so and feels like I need to rinse my mouth out with scope and take a shower? It was very satisfying watching KY lose.

I love that WI won at the end but still hate them. Will love them again if they win against Duke and hate them for the next B1G season.

i found myself rooting for WI; I guess its the less of 2 evils

I hate Duke so I guess i will be rooting for WI on Monday, too

I certainly was rooting for Wisconsin.

Calipari's preseason goal was to get eight Kentucky players drafted. That's the truth, here is one of the links I could find and I've heard the radio interview where Calipari said it. So, while the rest of the Coaches in the NCAA are dreaming of National Championships? Fine, let Calipari dream of being the great provider of talent to the NBA.

I root for any and every team to beat Kentucky, all the time.

I have no problem at all pulling for Wisky. You have to respect Bo and that program. Their players represent the good about college ball. Bo is one hell of a coach. One of the best I have seen in college ball.

Not sure if it's already been posted or not but Wisconsin is the 7th current member of the Big Ten to have played in the national title game since 2000. I'm not sure what's more impressive...that? Or the fact that the Big Ten hasn't technically won one since 2000.

I have every problem in the world pulling for Wisconsin and will not do so.

I agree Suter...rooting? whats that? root-root-root..screw that...I'm never rooting for Wisconsin.

I call it more "observing"....all I know is one of 2 jack asses...Calipari or Ryan was going down..that in itself is a comfort.

I respect Ryan more than slick Cal...in what he has done in Madison...remarkable..who would have ever thought considering what Wisc BB was like back in the 80's,90's...but that doesn't mean I'll root for him or his team...Gasser is an ass...mug ball at its finest...Kentucky became emotionally attached to the fact..thus the reason one of the Harrison boys said what they said after the game.

I do like Bo's half time interviews with one of the lovely women interviewers....I think Bo is shy around good looking women.

....Wisconsin's uni's looked like something from the Red Cross...

ok...lets get Dale signed up...get ready to kick Wisc ass...they got no where to go but down...

Geez, no kidding. I have no clue why any Iowa fan would be pulling for Wisconsin. It does no good for Iowa to have one of its biggest rivals win the championship. Go duke.

Maybe for you. However, for Iowa fans, that is comparable to you pulling for michigan.

Conference allegiance matters. If Iowa can't do it, I want the Big Ten to do it. And as for Bo Ryan, I'll never like the guy, either, but I'll tell you this: I love his coaching, and I have the ultimate respect for what he's done at Wisconsin, not exactly a hotbed of basketball. The Badgers had almost no basketball history of note until Tony Bennett got it goin' in Madison, and Bo has taken it to another level. How can you not respect that? Bo Ryan is everything Kirk Ferentz, for example, is not. Bo doesn't just show up and collect his money. It's all about winning--games, Big Ten titles, and yes, national championships.

If Iowa can't get those things done, then I at least take some pride in being a member of the conference that does.

And again, Izzo, Coach K, Roy W, and others may get the ink, but if I were a player and had the chance, I'd wanna play for Bo Ryan. Period.

And BTW: I wonder how Uthoff feels about leaving the Badgers now? He could have been cuttin' down the nets on a national title Monday night. If I were him, I might have at least a little tinge of regret...and, maybe, a little more determination to get the Hawkeyes there.

Nor do I. I was pulling for Ohio State to win the Football Championship as well.

For me it is the lesser of two evils. That's it and that's all.

This Wisconsin win set the basketball world on it's head, and they didn't even win anything yet (only said because only 1 team wins it all, Wisconsin slayed the dragon last night, good for them, and I LOVED IT!). I hate Kentucky and everything about their Coach, players and program. They have a sense of entitlement that you just love to see to get derailed. Those Harrison twins have always rubbed me the wrong way. They get away with murder on the defensive end, and cry like little babies every time they get a foul called on them. Them not shaking hands after their loss shouldn't surprise anyone (but you can bet your ass they've had been in that line if they had won the game).

Duke is a bit different than Kentucky. I think Coach K really WANTS to keep his players for 4 years, but knows he can't. His players of course also have a sense of entitlement, BUT they do seem to handle themselves much more on the "classy" side of things on a day to day basis, with the same caliber of players Kentucky has (and I'm sure Kentucky has some "nice" kids too - they just have plenty of punks - too many).

Wisconsin does indeed "do it right". That said, no one is going to take their path when they can take the Kentucky and Duke paths. Recruit, advance to Final Four, NBA Draft, Reload Recruits. Year after year. It's because of this I no longer watch NBA Basketball. No connection to the players. The league is loaded with one and doners and European players. Just don't care.

I think you mean "no one is going to take their path if they can take the Kentucky and Duke paths." Very few teams are capable of recruiting four or five McDonald's all americans in one year. The Wisconsin path would be the only option available to the others.

There were 9 "one and doners" in last year's draft and another 14 foreign players. That means the remaining 37 players drafted were neither.
