Sorry if posted already but it's getting kinda hard to sift through all the whiney posts about ticket prices... Anyway, I'm getting my liver ready for the rose bowl and wondering how tailgating is done in Pasadena. I heard parking lots are stacked and maybe not the place for pregame festivities. Is this true? I'm trying to decide if I should rent a car or spend the money for one of the party tents. So, anyone with knowledge of the rose bowl. Car tailgate, yard tailgate or pay tailgate? Thanks, Go Hawks!

I know a couple of UCLA fans that have season tickets and tailgate at the Rose Bowl quite often and I asked them. They said the best place is to park at Brookside Golf and Country Club. You actually park on the golf course and tailgating is permitted. It is just north of the Rose Bowl and walking distance to the stadium. That is where I'm planning to tailgate with my rental vehicle. They did say to try to get there around 6am or you risk not getting a spot. Luckily the buddy I'm going with, his parents live an hour away and will let us borrow all their tailgating gear.

If a pair of Latinos walk up to you and offer to watch your car for $20 you might as well pay them. If you decline they'll most likely come back and bust into your car.
