Ryan Kriener Update?

Did they play tonight to avoid the blizzard that supposed to hit their area?

Brown is not going to NDSU, he's going to North Dakota. Playing for former Iowa asst. coach and UNI Player Brian Jones (and Jeff Horner on staff).

He'll be a 6'3" combo guard

Spencer has very good team. Listened to the game on radio. Kriener had 2 fouls in first 3 minutes of the game. Announcer said second call was very questionable on a rebounding situation. Kriener sat large part of first half. Came back second half with lots of blocks, rebounds and points. Brown is very aggressive scoring guard with excellent quickness.

I completely agree. Spirit Lake has Kriener and Brown, they don't have much else.

Their substate includes 2-3 other teams that are good and Spirit Lake should beat each of them.

Spirit Lake has to get there first.

Teams that can defend and take away Kriener or Brown will beat them. (see HWC)

Not that it matters much, but I thought I'd throw it out anyway. Was told by a coach in the Lakes Conf. that Spirit Lake has got another big kid coming in next year. Wasn't told name, just he is 6' 8".Coming from the area where this guy coaches.

My eldest son lives in Spencer and I reminded him that Spirit Lake was coming to town and he might want to go check out Kreiner if nothing else (don't know if he made it to the game or not). I was pretty stunned how bad Spencer played in their 1st loss at Spirit Lake. They got throttled. This game seemed to be a bit more in line with what both teams bring to the table.
