That's much more impressive than one of the male Hawks making it to the NBA as there's 30 NBA teams and only 12 in the WNBA. Congratulations Sam!

From a numbers standpoint, sure. Begins and ends there however. Congrats to the young lady regardless.

Atlanta loses to NY. Sam one of two Dream players not to see the floor. Starting center for NY was Kiah Stokes.

Hopefully she can get some playing time soon and show what she can do.

She did play in preseason games. I suspect the coaches know what she can do and that's why she's on the roster.

Since I dont' follow WNBA, is it common for the #10 pick to not make the roster?

Probably not common but the possibility is much greater in the WNBA than in the NBA partially because of the fewer teams. I suspect other factors play a part also.
