There are a lot of good games on today 1/30/16! Dang the SEC/Big12 challenge is going to be good.

Right now WVU is getting owned by Florida.
Texas was up on Vanderbilt

It's a good day to generally see how the Big12 stacks up to another power conference. West Virginia hasn't looked good. Texas is taking it to Vandy but honestly both teams don't look good. Very lackadaisical with the ball.

West Virginia is an interesting team because they literally beat no one in the non conference and got blown out by Virginia. They're living off their win against an overrated Kansas team. Kansas and Baylor are a couple other team that beat no one before conference play. Baylor shouldn't be tested against Georgia but we'll see how Kansas performs against Kentucky. Not a good start for the B12.

And Indiana is off to a slow start at home against Minny. Is this the day the Gophers pick up their first conference win?

And PSU made Michigan earn it at the Garden in NYC.

Hope the Hawks keep NW on the slide so Williams, Wagner, Baer, and Fleming can get more minutes tomorrow.

It's Northwestern. Our beloved conference officials won't let that happen.

The thing about the Big12 is they only have a couple crap teams in OSU/TCU so....they don't really take many hits in conference RPI wise and I think it inflates their standing RPI wise come conference time.

The B1G by contrast has some horrendous teams at the bottom Rutgers/Minny/Nebraska/NW/Illini/OSU/PSU

I just think the B12 gets inflated a bit and this shows up come NCAA time as they invariably flame out year after year yet get pegged as one of the premier conferences year after year.

I'm amazed that they are actually calling traveling in this ISU vs Texas A&M game. I must be dreaming. This can't be really happening.

Refs are really cracking down on the ISU NBA style mystery step. At least in this game.

That's one official. Name's Daily, or Daley, I think. He called all the travels in this game. Last week he called 10 during the TCU-ISU game, 5 on each team.

MN up at IN by 1 w/ about 3:30 left. I just tuned in for the last minute or so but IN looking very shaky.

And the clones didn't do their part. 10 pt loss to a&m
Going 4-12 from the line is not the way to win on the road. Also, they matched their season total for players lost to fouls in a game. Two disqualifications in the previous 20 games, 2 more today. But the story was gifters, plain and simple.

And FWIW, this was not a 10-point game.

Is Minnesota starting to figure it out? Took both Purdue and Indiana to the brink.

Minny is brutal.....I wish we played them 15 times. Not only did they not score in the last 3:30, they did not get ONE decent shot. That was awful. WTF were they doing on offense. I know a bit and I tried to see what they were running, but jeesh!

Indiana did everything they possibly could to give that win to Minny, and they still didn't take it.

Good for him. Maybe more officials should take his lead. The officiating of traveling in the NCAA is a disaster. With all of the travels they let go, I don't know how they ever call anyone for traveling.

I'd be very surprised if we don't sweep IN. IA is in control of our own destiny. I see one more L - at MI. No easy games in the B1G but we're in the drivers seat if we take care of business.

Yes it was...

Neither A&M or ISU look like anything close to a top ten team, ugly game. Saw Niang was cramping up, probably was out drinking last night.

Yes, Minnesota had victory within reach. Too bad. But this once again shows that ya gotta bring it every time out and that Iowa should have no fear of visiting Bloomington.

BTW: Yogi gets away with a lot of stuff on both ends of the floor. He should have fouled out in the first half, but he was still there all the way to the end.

Who have you seen this year that DOES look like a sure fire top ten team? I haven't seen any and I watch as much basketball as my wife will let me. The most impressive performance I've seen was from Arizona but that was really early. It's wide open this year.

Too bad Iowa State can't play all its tough games at hilton. Do they even have a quality win on the road?

Not really. They beat K-State and had an open 3 at the buzzer that would've beat Oklahoma. I've said the same thing about ISU. They've proven they can beat anyone at Hilton. Time for this group to take the next step. Not sure they have the depth and overall mental toughness to do it.

Cincinnati will be a tourney team, that was on the road. As for resume, they'll be fine. Have wins over 1, 3, and 4 in the AP poll and still have 4 more games against Top 25 teams.

Cincy is no lock for the tournament.. 2 bad wins away from being on the outside looking in

They may be winning at he moment, but my God LSU should be much better than what they have been this season with all their talent.

In college basketball you can ride a guy like Simmons a long way. His supporting cast isn't terrible. That team could be very dangerous!

That's the point, if there is a point. I agree officiating isn't good. But the biggest problem is inconsistency. And this guy calls travels differently than everybody else. On both sides, don't get me wrong.

Once again the B12 proving how overrated they are, usually they save this type of performance for the NCAA tournament.

ISU is most assuredly a Top 10 team. They beat #1 and #4 in the last week. What do you want out of a team? Oh and they beat Iowa who is a Top 5 team.
