Did the B1G really just move our game at OSU to the 28th, taking away a day of rest before a showdown with Indiana on March 1st? Do other B1G teams have to play with only 1 day off?

Two days off this year is a leap year.

Edit
Looks like I was wrong. Thought the Indiana game was Tuesday

Looks like MD plays ILL on 3/3 and then IU on 3/5.
IU gets 3 and 4 days off for the games.
Guess the league is really pulling for IU... Or maybe they just want to get us in tourney mode a little early

The IN game is on Tue: Sun 2/28 @ OSU, Mon 2/29 = Off, Tue 3/1 = IN at home. IA would be playing on the second day in that scenario. I always thought each team got 2 full days of rest between games.

If that is true, IA would have 1 Sat game - @ MI the last game of the season. It would totally suck if they moved IA's only other Sat game.

ESPN shows OSU game to be Sat 2/27 but Rivals shows OSU game as Sun 2/28.

Is it confirmed that the OSU game is moved to Sun 2/28?

I'm going to answer my own question...

Per Scott Dochterman tweet...

"Iowa's game with Ohio State is set for 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28 on CBS. The date and time were TBA until today."

It's great for national exposure on CBS but man I was looking forward to a Sat game for a change. Oh well, I'll take the exposure as that benefits the program more.

The Big Ten announced today that Iowa's game at Ohio State will be played on Feb. 28 at 3 pm (CT) and be televised nationally on CBS.

Looks like CBS wanted the game and the Big10 wanted the $

We will have to play back-to-back-to-back in the BTT if Iowa gets that far.

Actually, I think the Hawks will only have to play back to back if they are a 1 or 2 seed in the BTT (bye first two rounds). I'll have to check the tourney structure, but I remember reading that the top seeds don't play until the semis -- 14 teams requires a weird tourney structure.

The difference in the tournament is EVERYONE is on that schedule. Seems stupid to make a contender play on short rest.

Yeah I thought the B1G required there be at least two days in between games. That was the most important takeaway from the Register article about the scheduling.
