School Board Elections

You and I don't agree much I don't think on politics but he has no business calling you "boy". I learned that is wrong to say to PoC back in the 1970s. If I don't call that out because he's on the left then I am a hypocrite.

I appreciate it. You’re right we don’t usually ever agree on politics. To be honest, I don’t even this that is his only handle here.

When will you learn its not okay to tell someone to kill themselves? You are still a hypocrite until you lecture and call out everyone on every type of hate speech. You can't have selective outrage and not be a hypocrite. Reminds me of someone I know that goes batshit crazy if someone says retard, but is just fine with the N-word, phag, etc.

Why would school board elections be political, as in being funded by PACs?

I simply have no understanding why that should happen. None.

Because they have been locked up forever by whomever the local teachers union approves? School boards have made themselves targets with their decisions. People did not care until those school boards started making decisions that don't appeal to most people. Like the wonderful mask mandate in the cedar rapids school district during the school day where they suspend kids for not wearing a mask. Except there isn't a mask requirement for after school practices. People are fed up with it

I looked into this. They formed a PAC to minimize costs and run as a bloc because of their position on a couple of issues, specifically anti mask, anti equity. Then they label their anti science bigoted views as “parental choice”, which represents in one easy inoffensive term all of the current dog whistles we hear now every damn day. They’ll win in a landslide because Iowa = Dumb.

I get the sense there might be an abnormally high turnout for these elections.

If the Radicals get elected... they have a couple years and voters will decide next time around.
