It's about to get hairy real quick - midlands then ok state then big ten seasonI know it has, but just haven't had the excitement yet.
It really feels like the first part of this season was treated like the preseason for 90% of teams. Might as well push the start of the season back to Midlands at this point.
And I don't blame any coaches for scheduling that way. The season needs to be pushed back.
The big ten season is such a meat grinder I am glad that Iowa doesn't get too crazy early just from an overall health standpoint. It seems to be mostly just a select group of the Big Ten schools that have a real easy beginning of the season. They have such a meat grinder of a dual season, I suppose is the reason. however, OSU and ASU have wrestled some good teams and the teams going out to Las Vegas wrestle some good teams early also.
I agree calumet but that really didn't work for cory and alex
Why not start the Big Ten season earlier to spread it out?The big ten season is such a meat grinder I am glad that Iowa doesn't get too crazy early just from an overall health standpoint.
Earlier than November 27th?Why not start the Big Ten season earlier to spread it out?
Yes. Start it earlier and have 3 more duals prior to Christmas.Earlier than November 27th?

That's fair...the having more duals earlier part (particularly non-conference duals).Yes. Start it earlier and have 3 more duals prior to Christmas.
I liked last year when they had Maryland. It was more of the same against them, but I don't think it would hurt to have a Big Ten team at the Iowa City Duals.Drop the tune-ups like the Luther Open and Iowa City Duals and institute a real B1G round-robin schedule, 13 dual meets. Would you rather see us take on Iowa Central and Cornell College or Northwestern and Illinois?
