have been embarrassing. Lack of toughness. Playing scared. Hoping the freshman will carry them.

Watching the other seniors in this tournament it's hard to believe their effort. Uthoff just going through the motions. Gesell is just awful in this game. Clemmons wanted to get 2 fouls and just sit on the bench. Woodbury getting dominated on both ends of the court. Where's the effort and pride?

Gesell is bringing it as usual but the other seniors -JFC

Freshmen showing a lot of hustle and effort at least. Just not talented or strong enough. Not sure what has happened with the seniors.

Fitting end to this season and the careers of these seniors. Villanova is definitely the better team, but this total no-show is unacceptable.

I'm looking forward to the fresh start and fresh blood next season. We'll probably end up in the NIT, but I'd say the NIT run from three years ago was the best time in Fran's tenure. I just hope that they will be able to rebuild to bigger heights than this class could muster.

Fran has to go out and find the real talent. These slow 6-7 to 6-9'wings can't do anything. Smaller and more defensive minded guards are eating us aive

All you have to do make the seniors uncomfortable and they wilt. It's a pretty simple formula.

I really appreciate their efforts but it's time to move on with a new set of guys. When a walk-on from Bettendorf plays more aggressively than a senior all-American that's bad.

I will always remember this team and its senoirs for the terrible ending of the season. They are crapping on what guys like Gatens, May, White, Cole, Marble, and White hoped that they built. An embarrassment to those that thought they left the program in a better spot when they left. Usually you wish you still had those senoirs for the next year. Not this year. I cannot wait to see the young guys.

This is a great lesson in life for the seniors as they prepare for the real world working environment. "It's not what you have done...it is what you have done for me lately." All those victories early in the season are not helping you gain respect of the fans today!

So it is in life. You you can not coast on your successes, you have to hustle to stay relevant!

I am ready to see this group of seniors go and I am happy to see them go. They have no heart and no will. Don't the let the door hit you where the Lord split you.

This team, as a group--there are a few exceptions--never did show any heart, any guts, any mental toughness, any real pride. They are like politicians, in the worst sense: They say the right things, but seldom follow through. The words are hollow because the actions are missing. Too bad, so sad. Move on. It's only a basketball game.

Oh, and this is a fitting finish to round ball season to bookend with the Rose Bowl.
