Sherman Dillard: "Winning isn't normal....This win today ranks near the top of any win for me."

Not hearing much about Pemsl and his contributions... especially when Garza had to sit. I thought he played a terrific game, take away the intentional foul.

I was in a bar and could not hear the commentary. Did it really look like an intentional foul and correct call?

No. It was a terrible call

Iowa's defense forced TWO 10-second violations and blocked a couple of shots, one a three by Kreiner, among its brilliant 5:43 defensive stand after Minny had taken what appeared to most as a game-ending eight-point lead in just 45 seconds. But Minny never scored again while Iowa ran off 11 straight points to pull out what I described in another thread as Iowa's biggest win of the year. So I guess Sherm agrees with me. ;)
And Pitino should have been fired on the spot.

*FWIW, Iowa has the 6th best record in the B10 Tournament, despite all our perceived struggles in the tournament.............

Fran McCaffery is 4-9 in the Big Ten Tournament at Iowa.

The Hawkeyes haven't played on Saturday in the Big Ten Tournament since 2006 (Iowa won the BTT that season).

Iowa is trash in the Big Ten Tournament since 2006. Alford was magnificent with the Hawkeyes in the BTT from 2001-2001.

2000: Iowa 1-1
2001: Iowa 4-0 (BTT Champs)
2002: Iowa 3-1 (lost in the Sunday Championship)
2003: Iowa 0-1 (Opening Round loss)
2004: Iowa 0-1 (Quarterfinal loss)
2005: Iowa 2-1 (Semifinal loss)
2006: Iowa 3-0 (BTT Champs)

2007-2011: Iowa 0-5.

2012-2019: 4 wins. Nothing better than a quarterfinal appearance.

In fact, Iowa hasn't even been to the Quarterfinals of the BTT since 2013 (Maryland and Rutgers weren't playing Big Ten Basketball yet if I recall).

"Perceived struggles...." Iowa is been god awful in the Big Ten Tournament 13 years.

And yet there are 8 other teams with a worse overall record and win percentage, so what the f*** does that say about them?............

Not sure what Little Dick is good at. The high profile MN kids are leaving the state. He certainly is not good with the X's and O's. I wonder how many B1G teams in history have ever had two 10 second violations in one game. That was crazy. And 5 turnovers in the last 5 1/2 minutes? That's unacceptable. 12-12 record? That shouldn't be acceptable, either.
