Shimonek

Wow. You are really unhinged, man. Especially for 39. Grow up.

How you interpreted what I wrote to be hateful is beyond me, but sorry I didn't speak about GD's QB-development skills in glowing terms. I didn't realize his relatives lurked here. Lol.

Awesome stats you threw out there, btw. Boy, you showed me how wrong I was.

You're entitled to your opinion, like anyone else. You are no more accurate or sophisticated in your logic than anyone else. Now it makes perfect sense why other posters keep calling you a dumb ass and whoever this "kilroy" is. Lol.

How bout you take a deep breath, get over YOURSELF, then post. ;) Oh, and it was like junior high when I last heard "stick it where the sun don't shine." LMAO.
Don't mind Kilroy, he's a stroke victim. Not trying to be funny, he literally has suffered a stroke.

No closet coach gives a rip about anything but performance on the field. Greg Davis was awful at of the field performance, even with the QBs he had. The fact that Rudock didn't take a single snap in 2012 tells me a lot about what Greg Davis saw in QB's.
I am not here to defend or condemn Greg Davis. But, on field performance is much more then just the QB coach. Example, how many times did CJ get sacked last season? How much time on average do you think CJ had last year to throw the ball? How many receivers were actually able to get separation? CJ's two best receivers, Vandeberg and Kittle both were hurt. So, how does all that fall on Greg Davis shoulders? Unless he is coaching the QB, WR's, OL and a trainer, blame is not entirely on him. The fact that both CJ and Rudock are in the NFL says he was not a terrible QB coach. Rudock was, as "Harbaugh said clearly" the best QB on his team when he transferred to Michigan. The same people ripping GD were also the same people ripping KOK. James Vandenberg had a hell of a junior season, but a terrible senior season. People ripped KOK, when the fact was that Iowa simply did not have the same amount of talent his senior season then junior season. I would hope that when people want to rip coaches and players that they would take the time to evaluate all the angles, instead of just saying someone was a terrible coach. Am I glad Greg Davis is gone, yes, but I don't think he was a terrible QB coach, he does not have control of the entire machine.

Rather than "terrible" OC (how would he have stayed in the game so long if that were totally true?), what he was not good at was situational play-calling. Maryland 2014 is all one needs to re-watch...

He would have ended his eligibility last year watching CJ
How's that??? 2013- FR at iowa. 2014-sat out his RSFR yr. due to transfer rules. 2015- Threw 2 passes as a Soph. at Tech. 2016- Threw 58 passes as a JR at Tech. 2017- Starter at Tech. He would have been a JR last year whether he was at Iowa or Texas Tech. Am I missing something, or are you just wrong. What am I thinking, no one is ever wrong on HR. :)

You are correct. All he did at Iowa was redshirt a year. The only difference at Iowa would be he wouldn't have had to sit out as a redshirt freshman because he wouldn't have transferred, he never got an extra year or anything. Otherwise he has been in school five years to play four (or three with the mandatory year from transferring). I don't think Weigers would've ever flipped to Iowa if Shimonek stayed, but even that is hypothetical.

Exactly, and Texas would not have kept him as long as they did had he been terrible. Of course, Texas has better talent then Iowa does overall to.

lie much or hate even more, as CJ is a now a starter for the 49'ers and the only coach he had was GD in 4 years. JR started under GD and now is the solid #2 for NFL team Lions.

Harblow has been exposed as a fraud in developing QB's so who else but GD developed those 2 into NFL QB's,

Maybe they developed despite GD/Ferentz offense? Rudock's numbers went up after he went to Michigan. CJ was part of the one of the worst passing offenses in Div1 last year.

of course nobody ever gets better under KF and its already been proven that JR only made the normal improvement from his JR to SR season and nothing more, but its nice to see you ignore the 2015 season where the total offense ended up at 5404 yards good for 1st in the KF era and 12 wins the best in Iowa's FB history, but hey the players did it all on their own with no help from the coaches but last year it was all the coaches fault because they are so lousy.
