Shonn Greene goes into Iowa Hall of Fame this weekend. Will serve as Honorary Captain

No shot. Unless you're saying Greene would have blocked the guy that injured Stanzi, they still lose those two games.

And even if they win out, they're #3 in the BCS behind Texas and Alabama, so it didn't matter except for the B10.

I'm betting with shonn in the backfield they don't try a naked boot at the 2. Also weren't they number 1 in the computer ranking at some point that season? But you're probably right that they could have run the table and still missed out.

How many seasons did he play in the NFL?
Seems he was injured a lot to me.

He played 6 years in the NFL.

He played in 85 NFL games (started 36)

Career NFL stats:
993 rushes for 4,110 yards (4.14 yds/carry)
72 receptions for 534 yards (7.42 yds/reception)

Kinnick is going to go ballistic when his name is called on Saturday. Would love to see him be a part of the staff in someway. I know we already have Ladell Betts, but Shonn is a legend.

Thanks for the input. Maybe you're right. But here's the thing: If KF had his backup QB, James Vandenberg, ready to play when Stanzi went down vs. NW, Iowa would have won. And then Iowa, which took OSU into overtime at The Shoe before losing by a FG, may well have won that game too.

Learning from that mistake in judgment, KF let Vandenberg take EVERY SNAP the entire 2012 season. Vandenberg was the ONLY QB in the nation to have that distinction. But then KF did say a few days ago that he "didn't know anything about QBs."

how was he only a 2 star recruit, with offers from Clemson, Wisconsin, Iowa?
I echo you on this But remember he had class issues and seems like he didn't get things together until after he went to Kirkwood.
Could be he figured things out and worked harder and in turn played with intention instead of just getting by.
