I think about midway through the first half Izzo knew he didn't have any magic adjustments, Iowa is just the better overall team this year.

I about fell over when he DBagged Clemmons on shooting. Did he not lead the team last year in 3 point %? He's not a volume shooter but he can make them. Then he butchers Gessel's last name. A 4 year starter in the B1G. Time to read the scouting report Thom.

yep basically threw Fran's team(s) under the bus by saying Fran may be tough but his teams were not...(which even if it was true)...stupid comment...like I posted IZZO isn't use to being in this position..getting his ass handed to him & his players in Breslin. You know its easy to make nice comments about other coaches & other schools when you are on top....not so much when its the reverse.
MichSt is a good team...maybe getting them early in the B1G actually ended up to our advantage. We may need them to be our bitch against some of the other schools (I cant believe I said that)...

On one hand I see how he acts and what he says in 2016...
On the other, he did grant and interview of 10 minutes, out of the blue to a high school reporter (me); someone, at that time, intimidated to approach someone like him.
So I have mixed feelings about him.

100% for sure without a doubt. There were numerous post prior to the season that the new rules would hurt MSU.
My concern is will they continue to enforce the rules throughout the season and it tourney.
And in Izzo post game he complained about officiating and said there was some interesting calls. It made me like him even less than I already liked him. When I think about the game two years ago at Carver where the refs absolutely raped Iowa and cost us the win versus them and then of course that Big Ten tourney game a few years ago. That Big Ten tourney game was borderline criminal

Oh +1,000,000. Thats how their guards played defense the past 15 years and thats why they were always called a physical team. They are still a really good team and I'm sure Izzo will get them back to playing really good b-ball by tourney time but they aren't scaring anyone this year. I love the new rule changes in regards to the hand checking, offenses are flowing a lot more this year and it's fun to watch each team attack on offense now.
There's only one coach I like beating more than Izzo and that old grinch quit a few weeks ago.

I have never liked Izzo and I have always felt his teams got away with more than other teams do as they were just playing "physical" defense. For all the years he has been at MSU, he has always seemed very cocky and condescending. Comments like that represent this opinion.
Why not just say, "the Hawkeyes have a really good team and outplayed us tonight again. This is one of Fran's best and most experienced team since he has been at Iowa. It doesn't mean we can't acheive our goals this year but give Iowa credit tonight. We can learn from this and get better".
I have heard good stories about personal experiences with him as well, so in all fairness, I am sure he has some redeeming qualities, I just hate watching him coach against my team and listening to him afterwards compliment us after another loss to his team. But...... NOT TONIGHT BABY!!!!!
Izzo is such a little bitch on the sidelines and gets away with so much crap from the refs. Fran is finally starting to earn some respect in this league and we seem to be getting a more fairly officiated game this year. Izzo and Ryan's teams in the past have just hacked the shit out of teams and they refs have given in and let the games turn into super physical contests.
I love how there was that shot of Izzo holding up his finger in the face of Valentine in the first half like he's some tough dude. I am thinking Denzel should just tell him to shut up and take a seat. Valentine's a truly great player and a big part of the reason they will have success this year. He does not need Izzo calling him out.
Well they've "scared" the 16 other teams they've played, including Kansas. As crazy as it sounds half way thru the season, with a little luck and better play at the end of a few earlier games, this Iowa team is #1 and undefeated. We led late in all 3 games we lost. Insane to even think we're that close (at this moment) to being in that position. Hell of a year to be a Hawk fan, that's for certain. I'll just keep waiting for the bubble to burst, but in the meantime burying Michigan State twice is just outstanding!
Like Mike Krzydyalkljeljjrjlaslkjsksiski, he gets a pass for being a 4'11" shithead who reams out the refs while holding his jaw in his hand. They are both terrible ****ing people who get a pass because their moron players get away with murder.
