Should Citizens have to pass the basic Civics and Government test used for citizenship to Vote?

Should passing the test be a requirement to vote?

Why would it be racist to say our political "leaders" could not pass the test? Chances Trump would pass?
Why do you ask a leading question that has nothing to do with my statement?

I think a majority of people would fail, Trump included. Civic ignorance is rife.

I think some demographics would fail in even larger numbers, and people would point to that to say the test was racist.

My guess is he feels dems would do worse due to increased racial diversity. That's why I brought up the average education levels.

No, and it's an awful idea. However if the idea did somehow come to pass, it would likely lead to D sweeps everywhere based upon the educated vs uneducated breakdown in support of the parties. Maybe then we could finally get some actual democratic reforms passed, such as constitutional amendments to end gerrymandering and allow for open primaries and end federal judge lifetime appointments. You know stuff to fix the structural problems within our society which have allowed MAGA to breathe and grow as a minority movement.
Being brainwashed is not being educated.

USCIS approved the test FWIW
The thing that makes the test more difficult is the fact that it's not multiple choice.

This practice test is similar to what an immigrant taking the test would have to pass. It gives you 10 random questions from the 100 on the test you linked. Some of the questions are really easy while others are more difficult to come up with the answers off the top of your head.

From what we've been hearing (frau will be taking the test) is that it's been other naturalized citizens experience that its 7 or 8 easy and a couple hard questions being asked.

Do our leaders not have a race?

Well there is an issue that this country has a problem of having used tests in the past to prevent certain groups of people from voting.
I’ve seen some of those literacy tests. They were undoubtedly rigged, as the questions were ambiguous (i.e. how many letters are in this sentence) and usually left to the discretion of the proctor.

I guarantee that more than a few folks that “failed” these tests were a hell of a lot more informed and qualified to cast a ballot than their idiot pink cohorts.

I think voter ID laws where a student ID is not accepted, but an NRA membership card is accepted is suppression.
NRA Membership cards are accepted? I am aware that some state allow handgun carry permits with photo, but never NRA Cards....

Yes, correct. Edited for accuracy. A student ID is based upon similar information and generally includes a picture, yet for some reason they aren't considered as reliable...
