Regarding the original question, this team's ceiling is fairly low: they aren't going to win the B10 or make a deep tourney run. Best case scenario is for them to make the NCAA tournament. I think they'll need to go 12-8 in the Big Ten to make it given their lack of high profile non-conference wins and the overall lack of depth in the Big Ten this season. 12-8 is going to be very tough. They will need to win 7 of their next 8 games in order to hit that mark given how tough the last 6 games are going to be.

It's better than expected this year, but in the end it will likely be the same old flaws that get them.

Well sure. That and we’re also not that talented. But I find it kind of fun to see if we can make a run just to get to the tournament.

Kind of a wiseguy post, I'm a lot more excited about the team than I was a few months ago.

Every season is different. While I like some of our young guys 2 of our 3 best players in Perkins and Krikke are gone. Freeman going to be all Big Ten down the road and Sandfort and Dix are solid there’s no guarantee on anyone else. Let’s at least make run and make the tournament even as a 11 play in seed.
