Should Iowa get in over Oklahoma?

Iowa doesn't get a mulligan, only other teams. Maybe someday football will settled on the field in a playoff that will involve 8-16 teams...until then the champion will mostly be decided by a group of guys in a hotel room.

Name recognition and TV ratings will put Oklahoma in over Iowa. You can't make an intelligent argument that they're more deserving of it based on performance though.

Iowa had a very bad loss..Oklahoma is better than Iowa they lost when you could lose!!! it was kind of pretty lose one you could just forget about and still say they are an Awesome team.

i think its a fair question. i just wonder if the committee is actually pondering that
In the end, it's not football for if it was, it would be settled on the field. Instead it's a beauty pageant and Oklahoma is the hotter chick....that's the best football system we're capable of coming up with in the year 2015. UNI's division rewards the best football team...imagine that (they clearly aren't as sophisticated since they settle it on the field).

If you look at this objectively and compare Iowa to Okie you cannot ignore that horrible loss the Sooners had to pitiful Texas. Iowa was literally one inch from going undefeated. Iowa should be ahead of Oklahoma but won't be because, well, they're a blueblood and we are not.

You realize that Okie St, Baylor, and TCU aren't exactly scrub teams, right? Plus, Nebraska beat MSU earlier in the year.
Based on what??? The eye test??? Tennessee was the best ooc win for that entire conference--NW alone proved more before conference play. I honestly think OU would be battling for 4th-5th in the B1G...said that in Sept, still true now...

This thinking bothers me. I am totally on board with settling it on the field. But that doesn't equate to being the best team. Especially in football where the season is so short and teams only face off once.
