"Whenever the people are well-uniformed, they may be trusted with their own government."
- George Jefferson

Think about that for a minute. Do you agree? Do you also agree with the clear implication - that whenever the people are well-uniformed, they can NOT be trusted with their own government?

Yes they should. Think about the power of the people that get to make the decision of who is "informed".

Exactly! How are we supposed to be informed enough to vote in this poll? What kind of uniforms? Boy Scouts? Most are too young so I vote no!

Look. this is serious. We are talking uniforms in general- not specific ones. That poll comes next IF we can resolve this problem first.

I've got a question. Should the indoctrinated be allowed to vote? That includes the far any direction. You know, the kind that if you smile at them they take it as an invite to recite verbatim the most recent teachings of their trusted mentors?

This is after all a community aquarium and once one species of fish decides to start nipping at another the whole place turns into a smelly muck of bones and decay and sooner or later everyone gets flushed and the tank is replaced in favor of a nice, peaceful, houseplant. Is that what we want, to be flushed in favor of a Chlorophytum Comosum?

I'm not sure anything non-specific can be considered a uniform. Aren't uniforms supposed to have certain specific characteristics? Obviously this is all over my head. I'm going to have to disqualify myself and buy a houseplant.
