He played a ton early in his career. Has already used his RS. A ton of potential. but playing time would be tough to come by next year.

Any chance for a medical hardship RS for him?

Any word on him? Haven't heard much lately

I think Kirk was asked this early in the year and he said probably not. Not sure why though.

From KF's comments every time he is asked about Cooper's 6th year, it doesn't appear that it is something they are pursuing.

Yeah reading between the lines it seems like more a matter of him not being healthy enough to return to football even if there was another year. That's the difficult side of football, with guys who put so much into it can have careers cut short. Cooper, Duzey and Ott are all talented seniors whose college careers are either over or impacted. Duzey has played in a couple of games, but returning from patellar tendon surgeries is tough stuff for football players. If Duzey were to return at close to pre-injury form after the bye that would be huge for the offense.

HCK has done a fine job at TE this season but if Duzey can come back healthy, he is a weapon in the passing game. He could take a little of the pressure off of Meerkat and Tevaun and maybe open things up for them. I hope our offense can be even more explosive after the bye getting everyone healthy/healthier.

Hopefully Cooper gets his degree and moves on to the next phase in his life and is a happy, productive human being in whatever he chooses to do.

Kind of a side note with Cooper. Few weeks ago on KF's weekly show after Sunday night news had a segment where players were out at the hall of fame building signing autographs for kids and Cooper was doing all the interviews with the players. Was amusing having him interview his teammates and other people there can tell he has quite the personality.

Even if he can't play anymore think would be awesome if he could suit up for Purdue game for Senior Day and run out of the tunnel one more time.
