Sibley Crystal Ball

How hot will it get if the 2020 class is Ulis, Perkins, Murray and Murray?

Not going to happen. Foster is a Hawkeye.

But even if it did happen, it wouldn’t get hot at all for Fran.

Do you know how many times between now and the start of the 20-21 season you are going to hear the argument that the Murrays would have been rated much higher and would’ve had many more high D1 offers if they had signed later in the process?

You posted in the past few weeks that Fran would take some heat if he missed on Foster?

I think if they don't get Foster he starts to get criticism if they struggle this year and people start looking at who is in the future classes.

Personally, I am not sold on Foster being all that great at the Big Ten level, but there is obviously time for him to develop more before he will be counted on.

Thanks, I knew you werent as high on Foster as the recruiting services.

Georgetown fan here. One of our insiders has a source close to Sibley’s camp, or so he says, and says that Gtown is comfortably in the lead. Has Iowa dropped out of his recruitment or are you all still in play? If you are out then I assume he’s a lock to us unless something changes in the coming weeks. Good luck to the Hawkeyes this year

It's been reported he's no longer on Iowa's recruiting board, so I imagine you can consider him a lock for Georgetown.

Then you're not looking very hard - any combination of Till relinquishing his ride or grad transfers, JBo plays this year, Pemsl grad transfers, one or both of the McCaffery's relinquish their scholarships, Joe W moves on after this year.

Very clear really.

I can see maybe one of those happening.

foster is not going to Iowa and if nothing changes he will be going to Iowa State. Not trying to
Piss anyone off but just stating what is now commonly known

You need to get on the horn with Jerry Meyer and the 5 other guys at 247 who think he’s going to Iowa (ZERO CBs for Iowa State or any other program). You obviously have better connections to inside info than those guys. Heck, they might even offer you a job.

On this I do.

They're already essentially going through a red shirt year in Daytona,... I'm sure these guys don't want to spend two years without seeing the floor...
Why would Kris and Keegan be sitting 2 years? They are at DME Sports Academy with BBall in front of them this season.

Not the kind of basketball they would experience in a division 1 environment like the Big 10....

What if Sibley still wants to play for Iowa?
That ship has passed. I still question academics here. The young man oozes potential and had a lot of early offers but seems like many backed off. May be off base but I've seen this often.

Really wanted him at Iowa but not going to happen.

Do you even know what DME Sports Academy is?

They aren't giving up any college eligibility. They'll be freshmen when they set foot on campus next summer, but will also have a year of skill and physical development under their belts. I really don't get why people are bashing these kids. I feel they'll contribute like Baer if not more during their careers. They're not stiffs, just grew into their bodies late.

You have a 50% chance on your guess. If you're right then you'll be back bragging about it and if you're wrong then we won't hear from you again.
Thanks for your 50/50 post..

I know what DME is, and I'm not bashing these kids in any fashion whatsoever,... I also understand that a year at DME doesn't cost any college eligibility. But from the player's standpoint enrollment at DME is an awful lot like a red shirt year in that it's all about spending a season in development,.. I'm hopeful that the Murray boys will have great success at Iowa.

Having watched the Murray boys grow and develop as players it was odd they didn't get more recruiting interest last year as I thought as they grew you could see potential because they could shoot the ball. But hearing Kenyon mention that the twins wanting to play together in college made it very difficult for teams to offer 2 kids for possibly 1 spot they're looking to fill. Move forward to this summer's development. Still growing and filling out they've begun to blossom as players that can be really versatile. Not sure why more don't see the upside and continue to look at the past?

The fact that his decision date is after the first signing period passes tells me he wants to keep his options open no matter who he chooses.
