Sindelar ACL

The Purdue game came right after the Wisky beat down. They beat us fair and square. The damage was really done by two things; there DL whipped our OL and the 5-6 straight passes to the same WR resulting in 14 pts. That scoring lift was what they needed. They were playing for a bowl game so there was something on the line. Bad performance by us, good one by them.

Pretty amazing Sindelar played on an ACL year. Great job by him.

So Sindelar risks further injury and plays with torn ACL. He’s dumb. Players do respond to adversity though. They think OMG the QB is playing hurt, I guess my bruised pinkie is not so bad. Infectious....

I remember one of the Detmer brothers, Koy iirc, doing this same thing at Colorado. Played two games on it then crumpled.

Surprised the coaching staff allowed him to do so. I am sure that after surgery & rehab he will be back in time to throw for 400 yards on Iowa.

A person can play on an ACL tear if it doesn't swell badly (no collateral damage helps this), and if it's a partial tear as opposed to a complete tear. If he had a complete tear...having had one myself, I have no clue how he did it, even while braced up. Kudos to him, and kudos to his o-line for keeping him from getting hit.

And a very gutsy call on Brohm's part. Genius if it works, idiot if it doesn't.

That's awesome. Good for him and the team. He weighed the risks and told everyone that he still wanted to play, so I'm not gonna blame the coaches on this one.
