I was frankly a little shocked at the reaction of Iowa fans to the Hawkeye loss yesterday.
I wasn't really that surprised, really. Iowa had to scrape and claw to get things back on track after the two game losing streak to Minnesota and Northwestern, so I figured a post-conference season letdown was pretty likely.
I'm just super glad it happened in the relatively meaningless (at least to mid-level teams with their tickets punched already) Big Ten tourney and not the big one.
Really, unless you are a bubble team in search of key wins to get in, or a Top 10 team looking to nail down a super high seed, the conference tournament is next to meaningless.
Bring on the NCAA, tighter officiating that will help the Hawkeyes, and let's get this thing on.
