Was just thinking about ways the massive Iowa wrestling fan base can continue the momentum and really make its mark on the program. Here are two easy and f** ways to do just that:

1. Attend the HWC banquet on Friday, May 19.
Let's blow them away with the attendance! It's really a lot of f**, and it's a very cool celebration of everything that's so great about Iowa wrestling and the HWC. Let's set an attendance record. If you're within driving distance, I challenge you to be there. Perfect opportunity for the biggest and best fan base in wrestling to make its voice heard loud and clear.

2. Buy season tickets to Iowa wrestling. Let's pack Carver for EVERY meet next season! Let's make a bold statement to the rest of the wrestling world that Hawkeye Nation was a sleeping giant but is now wide awake. I don't care who the opponent is -- let's pack the place every darn meet. We'll make a statement not only to other programs around the country but to the best recruits in the nation, who will be blown away that we're filling Carver regardless of the competition. Sure, we'll win the attendance race anyway, but let's obliterate the field!

There will surely be other opportunities to make tangible contributions to the cause in the near future, probably involving new facilities, but in the meantime, there are some things that we can all do to help put the Hawks back on top. Let's do this, Hawk fans!

It's also worth mentioning a tip from Randy in another thread. . . .

Attend HWC fundraisers like the golf outings, etc. Of course, these are a lot of f**. They can be tough for some of us to make due to work, etc., but ramping up attendance at these events obviously increases their yield for the HWC.

Banquet-- Friday May 19th www.hwcbanquet.com

Riverside Golf Outing - Monday June 26th details to come

Okoboji Golf Outing -- Friday August 4th details to come

Des Moines Golf Outing -- Thurs Sept 21 details to come

For those attending the golf outings, you may want to ask your employer if the day can be counted as community service as opposed to a vacation day/day off. For example, with my employer, I get 8 hours of community service per calendar year, that doesn't count against my vacation days.

Anyone good with PDFs ? I need to make/create some flyers for the golf outings-Old ones getting stale--

I might be able to help here. I have some INCREDIBLE student help (graphic designers) right now and could go to my professional people if needed. Very efficient for both of them!! Will shoot you an email and use us how you see fit.
