Not sure i agree that we are a good team or that wisc is a great team. I do know we are playing some young guys but that doesnt excuse what i saw today. Every team is playing young guys at certain positions, thats just the way college football works. At some point that excuse has to stop being our crutch

We have played well in 3 of 4 losses this year today was hard to watch this is not a bad coaching staff or team chill out we could be a nebby or Tennessee fan base those are bad teams and will be looking for a new coach be grateful

If the team plays to their abilities and loses, then so be it.

If they play at a level that indicates less than 100% effort I'm going to call them out on it.

Today the offense played at a level far below 100% effort.

I didn't say it wasn't terrible. I was yelling at my TV just like everybody. I think we're ready for a change in coaches. I'm on board for all these things, but the level of hate that gets thrown out there every week is astounding. The game threads after wins are the best, because the whole thing is just filled with hateful bitching. I just don't get the point.

If the offense plays with some pride and gets beat then I have no problem.

However, when the o-line plays like a bunch of scared wimps, the receivers are scared to catch a pass because they're going to get hit, the quarterback plays like his head is up his ass, and the coaches (Brian Ferentz) call plays that an 8-man high school football team could spot then I'm going to complain about it.

I don't know. Lost? Inept? Out of rhythm?

The "one word" thing is tricky (but a fair question).... I guess what I was trying to say is I don't experience emotions like shame or embarrassment when I watch 20 year old students play a game.

I'm NOT in any way trying to defend this team and I'm not talking about everyone that's unhappy today (I am definitely unhappy). One of the things that really pisses me off is its easy to get backed into that corner just because you don't think the coaching staff deserves to be shot.

That was definitely in the top 5 worst games I've ever seen an Iowa team play. I just don't experience the same level of frustration demonstrated on this message board every week.

If I was that miserable (or embarrassed) I would walk away (which I did with the basketball team during the Lick years). I'm not advocating or even wishing people did that.... I just don't get what keeps them around.
