Soooo, we're crashing their tailgate. Right?

You would be more than welcome. NDSU may not be the better team, but we will definitely out-drink you haha.

Not a lot else to do in North Dakota, so we've become quite good at that.

You do realize you are rolling into a school that consistently is ranked in the top 5 party schools in the country? This is a down year though as Iowa slipped to #6.

Sounds like my kind of school. I'll be down there most of the weekend. Any good bars near the stadium for post-game festivities?

The areas around the stadium are great for tailgating and are a lot of fun. You have to hit Melrose before the game for sure.

After, just walk downtown to the ped mall, probably 10 minute walk. About 40-50 bars of whatever flavor you like.

The tailgate location at West is too far away to crash. Though I'm assuming there will be plenty of them mixed in in the lots that are actually around Kinnick.

As somebody who has experience in tailgating and consuming mass quantities of alcohol in both states I feel I am qualified in giving an opinion on this subject. In the state of North Dakota, as well as South Dakota, drinking is a sport. People from the Dakotas can hold their own, however, Iowa F'ing City makes the FargoDome parking lot look like kindergarten roundup. The Bison are not only going to be playing in the big time, their fans will be partying in a big time atmosphere. Sad thing is, Iowa City is nothing like it was back in the days when Olive Court was rolling and the Magic Bus was pumping on Melrose. Still, there is a reason Iowa still ranks near the top of the list for tailgating scenes.

Good luck to your livers, Bison fans.

Indianapolis literally ran out of beer when Hawk fans rolled in last year.

Not true......................

Found some at a gas station. (Yeah, it was warm but who cared at that point?)

So to recap, NDSU is going to:

1. drink hawk fans under the table
2. have better looking girls
3. cheer louder
4. kick our tails in the game

Did I miss anything they are better at?

I am definitely going to ride my bike over and go through West High and check it out/visit. Pretty kick ass idea on their part to find a central place to park/tailgate relatively close as one big group.

Hilarious they pound their chest on their traveling toward Iowa. You know a school that is known for that.

Rode my bike over to a cemetery near by.....her boyfriend just died.

"You met her at a funeral?"

"Yeah, dude died in a hang gliding accident.....idiot"

Ran into a bunch of NDST fans last night at Coach's Corner...thought they were great, very nice people. Impressed by the way they travel

Good luck with that. Haven't seen NDSU in the top 5 of the Princeton Review and Playboy party school rankings. Head to the Pedestrian Mall after the game. 40+ bars in the vicinity.
