Other thread got hijacked and turned into a debate about taking 2 yo to the games.
The only thing available yesterday were the top half of the end sections. Paper said 11,500 sold
What are the chances of taking my family of five and buying good tickets outside when we get there?
As a hometown hawkeye fan i find it disappointing that fans are buying more than they can use for themselves.I bought a few and plan to flip them outside of Carver tonight. I am hoping for a good crowd.
Very good. Guy outside sold me regular ticket for a toddler for $5 a few games back. We've highjacked a thread. What are the chances of taking my family of five and buying good tickets outside when we get there?
Based on their job they may not be able to log online during work hours. Then once home we still have our duties as parents such as ensuring the kids do homework, eat their food, not beat up on siblings. So coordinating the drive/flight & cost of the overall trip for food and lodging can be taxing and then there is the procrastination factor.Well, why didn't that family buy tickets earlier? You make a fair point, but this isn't a regular season OOC or even lower demand conference game, it's a postseason (yes NIT) game where Iowa is a top seed. It's a high demand game. You shouldn't expect to be able to get tickets last minute for more than 2 together.

The reason i say this is you take away great seat options for those who are buying in advance. You essentially are taking seats away from families who do not normally have a chance to have a economical option to sit in a great area.
Not posting this to be negative but just to possibly help us and others with the other 2 home games as well.

Hopefully you get stuck with them, or have to sell at less than face value.I bought a few and plan to flip them outside of Carver tonight. I am hoping for a good crowd.
And freeze your tail off in the process.Hopefully you get stuck with them, or have to sell at less than face value.
What Channel on Directv is the game on? Thanks!

Hope you feel really good about being a scumbag and going out of your way to screw some fans. Wish you would have been stuck with all the extras when people would have went inside and paid less. Did you lie and tell them the tickets were at half court too?SOLD! A little cold out there, but I got a decent pay out. Plus I kept two tickets to see them in action myself!

I think you're wrong. As far as I know, Iowa has no laws regarding. And while never enforced, scalping is illegal in Iowa
LOL. Youre a poor.Sorry there dmoore. I like to make money. I also have Iowa St season tickets because their ticket market is hot and I always make money. I would get UNI and Drake season tickets if I thought it would be worth my time.
If someone is willing to pay for the ticket at my price, then I dont see the problem.
Why be greedy? It is Hawk basketball not the commodities market.Hopefully you get stuck with them, or have to sell at less than face value.
Are you sure? I would think it SHOULD be illegal to scoop them up from the box office with the intent to sell at a higher price. Frankly, it's a bit jerky to do so. BUT it is definitely not illegal to buy/resell on the second hand market in Iowa. Don't think everyone makes the distinction. And while never enforced, scalping is illegal in Iowa
It is illegal in Denver and Denver PD does enforce it near stadiums.I doubt it is illegal most anywhere, including Iowa.
Sorry lost giant chunk of original and had to edit. Can anyone here verify? It is illegal in Denver and Denver PD does enforce it near stadiums.
