...and still plan to vote for GOP candidates who stick to their guns on climate change.

Or so I assume.

I mean they haven't been bothered by facts before now. Why would millennial flooding and deaths change their minds? There have always been storms.

WWJD - Do you still think the drought in California is unprecedented and proof of GW.

Is the end nigh?

It has almost ten years since one hit landfall. Picking and choosing weather events is ignorant. Unless you have a lot of weather background, and are not influenced by grants or political party, then you really are just spouting leftist talking points.

If we must blindly blame bad weather on global warming does that mean it should get credit for good weather as well? Friday was sunny and 90 degrees. It was awesome. Thanks GW!

Sorry. "You are confusing weather and climate" is an attack only liberals and scientists are allowed to make. It's dangerous in the hands of amateurs.

Just an unusual setup of low and high pressure systems with a hurricane in a position to feed in moisture. Not a GW or climate change event.

You can not be that stupid.

9 people have died from these unprecedented floods (so far). Now is not the time to be making weather tragedies such as this into some sort of political talking point.

Of course it is. These ignorant people are responsible for those deaths. With better decision-making at the polls, America would have been tackling these problems for several decades now and would have better services in place for those who are harmed in storms like these.

You have most certainly found some religion.

So you want a national weather police to force communities to "protect" themselves because they choose to live close to water?

What the hell - who would have been elected, and what would they have done to keep the rains away?

not only do we know it is a hoax, not just think it, but we know it is a hoax because the folks who do the hoax got busted a few years ago

It's an interesting story. You should look it up. Report back.
because libs got busted a few years ago, when science proved man was not causing global warming? and some junk-scientists got busted changing data? for politicians? so libs decided they would change it to "climate change", because change is good? and hope and change happens? and al gore became the climate pimp? don't have to look it up, we know you libs were busted. busted I say.

You can NOT be serious with this statement.

Nope, stop guessing and look it up.

I have it on good authority that at the New World Orders convention at the Bilderberg they were discussing the years adjustments to the climate changing device that is used globally. I can not name my sources, but I can assure you that they are very powerful. If I stop posting it is likely because the NWO took me out. Remember me as a hero.

That's an incredibly crazy way to interpret what I said. Are you drunk?

What I want is functioning democracy where an educated and informed populace votes for reps who work for the public good.

It's been widely recognized for decades that we would need to address the dangers of global warming. If we actually had that educated and informed public and a functioning democracy, our reps would presumably have been working on this for a long time - both reducing the dangers and preparing to respond to those we couldn't prevent. But because we do NOT have an educated, informed populace and a functioning democracy, we get "drill, baby, drill" and "government is bad" memes ruling our fate.

No worries I understand your language. When the weather is nice, that's just weather. When we have a catastrophic weather event, then that's global warming, except when it's a cold weather catastrophy. Then that's climate change. I got it right?

I think you're overly kind to the voter here. We have known the facts for decades and have exposed nearly all to them. The voters simply decided the facts indicated the harms were far enough into the future that they didn't need to change their behavior. it would be satisfying to see some sort of class action effort to raid the Medicare and social security sections of the budget and award it to the generations that will pay for this short sighted selfishness.

Decades! Decades I say! Please people, you're feeding the troll and I would encourage you to stop.

That won't happen and you will need the next best thing - an EPA type organization with carte blanche to "make things right" - only way your vision will happen

So the round of Democratically controlled House, Senate and POTUS gave us nothing, good to know.

The longer we wait to get serious, the more true that becomes. The folks who are dragging their heals on taking effective action are narrowing our choices to an authoritarian solution or a catastrophic outcome. Personally, I'd prefer to avoid either and bite the bullet now.

Nope. And it's "catastrophe".
