Spencer’s competition in Turkey

another us transfer in the field in turkey

Ironbird and Spencer's mom's glasses on suicide watch.
It was circulating that Ramos would be there, but it appears he missed the deadline to register. I don’t expect him to be at the qualifier as it’s mostly set barring any “injuries” for those already registered
Ironbird and Spencer's mom's glasses off suicide watch. Close call.

List of competitors sorted alphabetically by country with the top 4 seeds noted.
It seems like it will be treated as a 32 wrestler bracket with five byes in the round of 32. Top 4 seeds plus random lucky draw for the 5th bye? Spencer will likely have to win four times on Saturday to qualify as a finalist. Anyone losing in the SF will then have to win Sunday in the 3rd place matchup to get to Paris.

Can you (or anyone) explain that form to me like I'm someone who doesn't understand what I am looking at?
Spencer will get drawn in and his top competition for the gold at this tournament is Aman from India. Iran, Germany and china are all very good also.
This will be a tough tournament, he needs a top 3 to qualify the weight.

This tourney has no repechage so you lose before semis, you're out.

There is a repachage if you lose to a finalist.

Im just spitballing here, but I believe his draw is not terrible, china is extremly tough, but believe the top half is the better path.
China was ranked 7th by flo, but is down to the teens now. Must have taken a bad loss in Asian championship.

There will be a true third but not certain of the process.

They go through the repechage like normal but the third place guys wrestle each other for the final spot. I think that’s how all of these tourneys should be instead of two thirds.

For those new to international tourneys, repechage is the wrestle back of all the guys that were beat by the finalists. If you lose to a guy who doesn’t make the finals, you are done.
