The other frustrating part is when things get tough this staff seems to double down on what they are doing instead of looking at other options. Our OL is the worst in the KF era so you'd think over a bye- week they'd be throwing in some different wrinkles. Instead they did the complete opposite and just kept everything exactly the same hoping for a different outcome against one of the top defenses in the Big Ten. I've never seen a program so stubborn to change from anything.Correct. Unless you have an absolutely dominating OL, you have to get more creative in your formations and play call patterns. Iowa is so vanilla in their schemes there isn’t much for opposing defenses to have to read or try to decipher. The end result is a bunch of defenders playing downhill and flying to the football. Add in the fact your quarterback is immobile and not very accurate and you have the perfect makeup for being one of the worst offenses in college football.
