Well, I actually tried to explain this to her, and for the sake of the trip to Paris and the rest of my marriage, I'm gonna have to take the rules violation. Do you know how hard it is to explain the cesspool to a normal, well-adjusted adult woman?
But I can offer this voluntary tax to atone for my sins:
Don’t do it, Dude. Sure path to losing that rare woman who gifted you two of her days in Paris/France to watch sweaty grown men do par terre. You post her pic, you risk some sick threader (perhaps that guy obsessed with Lion fan 82’s daughters?) using or forwarding it for any purpose, lude or not.

Haha yeah, I was never actually going to post pictures of the love of my life and mother of my children on here, even if a kinda like some of you. And to be honest, she's pretty pumped about watching the wrestling too. Paris was definitely the kicker though. She comes with me to every home Iowa dual and almost never misses an away one on TV. She used to fall asleep at duals when we were first dating, but now she'll mention things about someone's low single or bar arm. I am fully aware of how lucky I am and often wonder why the hell she agreed to marry me.

When I used to instruct water survival, another instructors wife would show up at the pool usually in a thong or a very micro bikini. She was a stripper and looked ok if you squinted to blur your eyes a bit. Anyways, it stripping had a league, definitely Arizona Fall League.

Thanks for the hike recommendation. We're planning to go to Normandy and only have a week, so I doubt we can get down to the Alps this time. Good reason to go back though!

I think Spencer's toughest competition will be Higuchi. Spencer is going to kill the more reserved guys who are willing to let him get his hands on them (abakarov, micic)
Only Dake and Snyder lose out on the Russians not being in the Olympics. and only Dake would have an asterisk if he wins gold. Snyder slightly less because Taz beat Sadulaev as well.
Retherford could win gold or go 0-1. That bracket is ridiculous.
I loved Spencer saying if he wins gold he’ll wrestle Uguev any weight, anywhere, anytime.
Do you think we’ll see balls out Spencer or a more measured pace? As we have all seen, when Spencer gets to the leg laces and guts immediately from a TD he racks up points. However, he expands so much energy and I have concerns with his gas tank.
Are you thinking the guys who wrestle from space like Higuchi and Aman Aman are tougher matches?

If Spencer gasses on a "balls- out" match the length or less of a high school match, with zero riding, then he will get what he deserves.
Back in the Golden Age of wrestling, freestyle matches were 9 minutes. And TDs were worth 1 whole point. And no mercy rules. You had to suck it up and finish out or pin. You had to bridge while gut wrenching, if you hesitated a half second they penalized you for sucking at it. Also, butt cheek to butt cheek leg laces would have got you Jack Squat!
They cautioned you out for not engaging -> you had 4 flags.
They actually enforced par terre until the late 80s.
That extra amplitude point had to be something everyone in the gym would consent to.
Penalized for not having a hanky in your jockstrap.
Sometimes the rules were such that you couldn't use the same turn twice in a row.

Spencer only has one pace. But you saw it at trials and the Qualifier - he's going to be fine. He has a bit different level of respect for Senior level wrestling than he did for his NCAA competitors. He's a hell of a lot healthier than he has been in years, and i think he's let go of the pressure of tech-pinning everyone in the 1st period.
And definitely the guys who move well from space are a worse matchup for Spencer - He just doesn't move his feet (not that he couldn't, it's just clearly not a point of emphasis in his training).
I definitely want to see him on the 1/4 side with Micic and Abakarov. Keeps him away from Higuchi until the finals. I hope he gets Micic 1st round - just so he gets fresh off the scale.

Agreed. And if Spencer wins gold and a Uguev bout never happens, critics can pound salt. #1 seed and world champ Micic is in the field, along with Higuchi and Abakarov. I’ve dissed Micic, but his world gold did include that stunning natural hat trick over Uguev and the above two. A Spencer gold in Paris needs no fortification . . . but it’s nice to hear him want it anyway.
The Indian is going to be problems too.
Lugo went with him to OTC. Heard he will have multiple partners with him in Paris but not sure who specifically.
