This interview is from about two weeks ago. Pretty interesting stuff. Spencer hasn't ruled out competing at Fargo after Junior Worlds and mentioned that he has never competed there before.
Doesn't show the live go, but the interviewer mentions that Danny Mitcheff was too tired to show technique after rolling with Spencer Lee. That's impressive, Mitcheff is a solid Senior level, collegiate AA guy with at least 15 pounds on Lee.
Lee also discusses his decision to go to Iowa. He mentions his interest in Stanford/ Princeton. He said he was concerned about the possible lack of partners and the desire to wrestle in front of a lot of people.
He talks about wanting to be the guy that helps Iowa become a powerhouse again.
Lastly, he mentioned that when he won his 3rd PA state title, he was returning from injury. Additionally, he was sick with the flu. He ended up pinning four opponents and dominated in the finals.
Good stuff, can't wait to watch this kid next season and then in black and gold.
