Spencer Lee will medically forfeit from the wrestle back round

Oh booo freaking hooo. So he lost and doesn’t become a 4 timer. Guess his move to Iowa really changed him. The PA kid would fight back for third place, help his team get second place.and not just give up. Now all you Iowa quitters can start making excuses for him. Just remember, excuses are for wusses.
Think I was wrong as it's a different poster with a user name that starts with PSU, but whatever, come on man. Tough loss for Spencer, he's great for the sport and there's no need to come over here acting like a tool.

That’s a pathetic post. It’s no wonder that Iowa fans think PSU fans are terrible people. Delete it and then I’ll do the same.
They seriously should have given the ban hammer to the entire Penn State athletic department after the Sandusky situation. Obviously just festers in everything related to that school. Their fans included.

I dont see a guy with bad knees competing at the international level. ACL repair changes the geometric aspects forever. Multiple ACL repairs is very likely impossible to overcome. I feel very sad. But I thought somthing was up all year. When he got to the 3rd period in some matches this year he looked like he had concrete blocks for feet.
Exactly what I was thinking after Big 10s. After his loss yesterday the 1st thing I thought was that he would put his shoes in the center of the mat after he gets 3rd.

My opinion (which means nothing) is that he most definitely would not have MFF today had he won last night. Excuses are for wussies. If you can go, you get back on that damn horse and ride! If only for one more ride, you do it! Give Iowa and all wrestling fans the opportunity to rise before the warrior and give him the standing ovation he deserves! This is not how this story should end.

It's likely that the ONLY reason he even wrestled after his knee surgeries was to become a 4 timer. When that was no longer a possibility he was done.

Gutting it out to be a 4 time champ vs finishing possibly 3rd are not the same. Especially depending on the issue.

Because he’s right but isn’t at liberty to give details…. Nor should he.

Some of you ungrateful losers should just be absolutely thankful he tried gutting it out for his team and his “fans”.

So you’re saying mineo was right?!

Lol. Insecure much? It’s just the truth. Cope.
Insecure? Your grasping at straws. You go on about the injury even and simultaneously saying anything about the injury on a forum would be stupid. How about you just keep your mouth shut then and instead of going on about knowing what the injury is and using it to tout your insider status. You’re a grown man for Christ sake.

I can second this. I hated seeing him choose Iowa over PSU. However, I have never and will never wish injury on someone. No idea if he's 100% or not, or why the choice was made not to go today. Regardless of everything, he is one of the most dominant wrestlers I have had the pleasure of watching dating back to his youth days. Hopefully he can make a run on the senior level.
I will third that. Don’t visit very often but felt compelled to do so now because I feel terrible and was so hopeful he’d appear today and go out with thunderous SO which he so richly deserves. He’s a great one and always will be. Doesn’t matter where he comes from or who he wrestles for. He has been a great one and I’m very blessed to have watched this generational talent. Very few if any wrestler has competed with the incredible pressure that he has throughout his entire career. A warrior and always will be. So hoping he’s OK and we’ll get to see him compete again. He’s enriched my life as a fan and I’m so grateful for that. God bless Spencer and the Lee family. You’ll be missed but never forgotten.

Yes… Insecure. And dumb.

Spencer Lee gave “his all” to the university of Iowa, the wrestling program, and the fans. It would not surprise me one bit if TnT did this for him. There is no reason to scratch out a couple of team points for 2nd place when a career could be put at risk.

I’m hoping this is a good sign that an international career is still in play. I mean why risk further injury. Otherwise not sure I understand the reasoning if his career is indeed done. After all he won a NC with 0 ACLs.

It’s a long shot either way unfortunately.

At this point, we just need to hope that Spencer gets HEALTHY.

He has a very long life left and doesn't need to hobble around for the next 70 years.

Sure hope he can continue to wrestle and represent our country and the Hawks.

If he can't, hope to see him in the corner at CHA.
