I ran across this article today in which the "Sports Mount Rushmore for all 50 States" is listed. For Iowa, they select Dan Gable, Nile Kinnick, Roger Craig and Kurt Warner. I think that Gable and Kinnick are clearly locks for such a list, but the inclusion of Craig and Warner is certainly debatable. Other candidates that I think would be in the mix would include Bob Feller, Hayden Fry, Zach Johnson. And if Captain Kirk can lead the Hawks to another year or two like last season (hopefully this year
)before he retires, he would have to be on the short list.
