Compared to these qbs. He really needs to gain more pocket presence and maybe take off once in a while. That's all
He just needs to channel his inner Big Ben.
Stiff arm the DE, fade back rifle a 30 yard comeback route with defenders draped on his legs.
Yup, or even play like Nathan Chandler. Nate used to tuck it and run over people and Stanley is just about as big. There is no reason Stanley can't pick up some first downs with his feet.He just needs to channel his inner Big Ben.

Don't worry, making the opposition's defense account for our QB as a potential running threat has never been part of KF's MO. Ironically, two of his best years were with Brad Banks and Drew Tate as QBs. Even Nathan Chandler would pull it down every now and then. Had some big runs at crucial times during his career at Iowa.Compared to these qbs. He really needs to gain more pocket presence and maybe take off once in a while. That's all

Chandler put the hurt on several Mich defenders during his time here, maybe even took out a few Gators in the Outback bowl that year.Don't worry, making the opposition's defense account for our QB as a potential running threat has never been part of KF's MO. Pretty good Sleeping Dog. The Pinball Wizard! He stands like a statue
Becomes part of the machine
Feeling all the rushers
Always throws it clean
He plays by intuition
The TD records fall
That great big Cheesehead
Sure plays some mean football!
joe moore.......Stanley is talented, but he is pocket passer. Can he improve, sure. However I'd also say we need an for improved O-line / improved pass protection/ improved identification of blitzes/hot routes/ plays to mitigate blitz like screens/ receivers that can get open/improved run blocking.
KF is called O-line guru and yet last year and NFL caliber QB Beathard and both our Tackles, we led the world in being sacked and near the bottom of NCAA in passing. This year they couldn't run block. There is one O-line University in B1G and it is Wisconsin.

He also needs to improve his field vision and quicken his decision making so he doesn't hold the ball so long. He's still raw.
