Define educational achievement.#1 fastest rising cancer rate (one of only two states where cancer is up)
Dropped out of top ten states for educational achievement (went to #1 under Vilsack)
Iowa was #1 in fiscal stability under Vilsack. Also dropped out of the top ten, to 12 on Kimmy’s watch as we face a 100 million dollar budget shortfall due to her irresponsible tax cuts for big business and the wealthy,
OP wants us to fall for that qunt’s propaganda. LMAO!
It’s not good it’s fantastic for parents and students.I like how she promotes school choice…like that’s a good thing. She’s an idiot, too.
Define educational achievement.

You’ll never get an accurate ranking. The exams Iowa students take is not the same that Illinois students take. It’s all made up bs. I saw my school report card on U.S. News and World Report and they didn’t have our correct grades (we’re 1st-5th and they had us K-6) and were off by 150 in student population. States can literally throw any number they want out there.Bullshit. Got it.
I’d rather just use test scores to measure school achievement.
It’s about an accurate ranking as it can get, but you are correct. There’s almost no really good National ranking metric. It’s about as good as any. And most importantly, no one disputes that our education system has been underfunded and over regulated under Kim’s government. Not surprising for a career bureaucrat who has kissed ass to the top. You’ll never get an accurate ranking. The exams Iowa students take is not the same that Illinois students take. But at least they have school choice, amirite?
We have 39% children being born with Medicaid as their insurance and %42 percent of children on SNAP. Seems to be a state with lots of people struggling to make ends meet.
I understand what you’re saying, but there is no national norms, none, so we have no idea how students compare from state to state. None, there is no test in place. It is impossible to correctly rank student success from state to state. It’s about an accurate ranking as it can get, but you are correct. There’s almost no really good National ranking metric. That really stands out. Where did that ranking come from?#1 state for retirement?
Some are the same. Pisa and act results can be realistically compared. You’ll never get an accurate ranking. The exams Iowa students take is not the same that Illinois students take. Bad place to be a Democrat.I’ve lived here for 48 years.
Other than the landscape ( I prefer MN/WI) I have ZERO complaints.
No problems with healthcare. No problems with education. Nothing.
If you are willing to work hard and stay out of trouble you can have a good life.
Great place to raise a family.
That's because the wrong types of people are multiplying the quickest. We need to stop that.

Or someone with a disability (kicked off state insurance)Bad place to be a Democrat.
Not all students have to take the act and I’ve never heard of the Pisa. Some are the same. Pisa and act results can be realistically compared.
Many states used to give the itbs. Book companies and republicans, under the guise of school choice, have intervened to give multiple assessments that reduce comparisons that we used to have. There is big money in convincing the general public that education is a mess and the private sector can fix it.
Should we get rid of school choice for college?I like how she promotes school choice…like that’s a good thing. She’s an idiot, too.
There is no law that says a student has to go to college.Should we get rid of school choice for college?
You have 123,000 posts. I think this board is all YOU have.Imagine being the OP. This board is all you have, and you aren’t even good at that. Boring and not terribly clever. No sense of humor. Couldn’t make an OP’s mom joke or a wouldja comment to save his life. A poor. Alone and angry all the time. Sports illiterate.
Just sad.
Probably cost of living related. That really stands out. Where did that ranking come from?
