No one with means and disposable income retires to Iowa. Hell, my dad would live in Costa Rica or his house in south Florida 12 months of the year if it weren’t for tax reasons. A lot of retirees sitting on farmland they rent out tax free if they maintain residency.
The state of Iowa has already elected her best representatives. It is only a small minority of malcontents like yourself who are unhappy.
The only reason people don't retire to Iowa from other places in large numbers, is because of the winter weather, the cost of living is one of the best in the country. Iowa doesn't have beaches or mountains but it has a great quality of life.

What quality of life? Other states have things to do in winter. Iowa? Not so much, maybe get fat? There’s nothing to do in Iowa. Absolutely nothing outside of a couple lakes and college football games. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

That's one of the saddest/funniest parts of vouchers. Guys struggling like Doobi and Northern are paying for kids to go to Dowling, Xavier, and Regina, even though their parents make more than enough to pay the tuition.

Yes. 7 back surgeries. I’ve gone the medical route in Iowa for marijuana and the process, price, locations, selection, etc all suck. I currently drive 90 miles into MO every month for what I need.
